Located at the perfect location. If you are looking for the perfect Gokarna experience, this is the place to stay. Expect nothing out of room and just use this as one to crash in the night. Kudle beach trekking is a must to do.

Room Tip: Any room will be okay. They have some stone rooms also. Try to pick those since there will be less m...

Goodies first.

The place is unbelievably stunning. We got there at 8pm at night, tired, and hungry. You can hear the water crashing against the rocks, as it's right on the beachfront.
We went and had a cold beer and some food in the restaurant. Great atmosphere, great music, nice food. Great price.
First night stayed in a room with a bathroom in it, pretty basic, but just wanted to sleep so was all good. cost 1000 rupee, and you got two towels, bottle of water and two soaps.
Second night we stayed in a smaller room for 300 rupee, no bathroom, a little bit musty (Who cares..) smaller bed, and more mosquitos. But was fine to just sleep in, and so much less we had to pay!!

Only annoying thing is the wifi (Seems to be a "thing" in India, which only gets frustrating when it happens so regularly.) The woman said there was wifi available. We logged on fine, but nothing was happening. Then she said there was wifi, but no internet. The fellow chimed in, and said the internet very conveniently wasn't working on the two days that we were staying, but it will be working tomorrow. When we're leaving. But said there was internet at some of the other places along the beaches.
Annoying. Apart from that, great place to relax.

OH!! And If you're arriving at night, you have to walk down this winding set of concrete steps to get to the actual place with all your luggage. There's absolutely no light to guide you. So be careful!

Room Tip: If you're on a ridiculously low budget, ask to see one of the rooms for 300 rupees, as they don...

Let me start off with the goods...
Beach - fantastic. few steps from the hotel and you are in the sea. Great view of the Arabian sea.
Food - pretty good. Good range of dishes.
Now the not so goods...
1)The cottages are cheaper than the rooms (Where did that come from?). I don't know about the rooms as we booked the cottages and then we realized why they were cheaper. Lots(Trust me when I say this) and lots of mosquito and the net was patched up. Leaving behind enough gaps for them to easily enter. The staff did give us some coil and mosquito repellent. But do carry with you some.
2)the beds - spots, stains and what not. Please carry your own bed sheets.

Over all, it was ok. The beach and the food played a huge part in us liking the trip.

I'm not sure about the stay because the pla was fully booked but ithaca a lovely view of the ocean and is a nice place to sit back and relax. The food it good too but the only problem is their service is very very very slow. And it seemed like they cater to the whites first. I must say, they do rip off foreigners who don't know the Indian currency much.

Namaste Cafe is the only resort one would find on reaching Om Beach and was our instant choice as it had a gorgeous view of the arabian sea. We prepared ourselves not too expect too much from Namaste Cafe, considering the affordable tariffs. The room was just average, while the bathroom was not clean at all. This was the only minus point. We loved the view from the restaurant and the food served right from breakfast to dinner is pretty good, nothing to complain about. One would sit hours and hours at the restaurant just gazing endlessly at sea and do nothing else.

Ensure you are loaded with cash as they not accept debit/credit cards at all.

I visited this place based on the reviews given over here.....but believe me the place is horrible....I had booked 2 cottages.....Soon as I checked in I could see that
1. The cottage beds were dam dirty....
2. The mosquito net was completely torn.....forget mosquitoes...even monkeys could have entered through those torn nets..
3. I could see condom wrappers around the room corners.......
4. Hot water was supposed to flow down for 2 hours...but stopped after 30 minutes.....
5. If you are a vegetarian never have food here....its pathetic....

A simple beach side lodge, little overpriced but its ok .
Cottage - 900 , moulded room - 1200.
food - ok , again overpriced.

if you want to relax at beach side , this is a good place .

My friends and me stayed in the cottage ,since it has a tile roof small insects creep in but im grateful to the mosquito net, washroom is clean .
Ok for 1-2 nights stay.

Room Tip: The moulded room are better than cottage.
