My husband and I stayed at Saadani Lodge on our honeymoon and we cannot be more delighted with our choice. The room we stayed in was beautiful and had a fantastic view of the sea. Additionally the staff were all very helpful and the managers Nic and Jana, were not only accommodating and welcoming but also very friendly and relaxed. The food was consistently delicious and we especially enjoyed the chicken skewers, king prawns and the cocktails in the evening.
To top all that the activities were great too. We went on a game drive twice and managed to see 2 elephants, a lion, buffalo, giraffe, monkeys, wilder-beast, monkeys and many other animals. We also went on a river safari were we encountered hippos and crocodiles, Additionally, a village tour enabled us to get a feel for life in Africa and also its history as Saadani village has a surprisingly rich and also dark history with links to the slave trade. After all the activities, the pool at the lodge was a great place to relax and I cant recommend the cocktails enough.
To sum up this was a fantastic place to stay, I would definitely go back there and I am so glad we chose here for our honeymoon.
