This restaurant, in the small, beautiful mountain village Monfort-sur-Boulzane, is really worth the trip! It is not a classy gastronomic restaurant, but a small, very casual and at ease place where you can enjoy a refined cuisine you will hardly find elswhere in the region. Everything is cooked with selected and sometimes specially prepaired ingredients (e.g. There is a unique slice of "confit de coing" (made from handpicked quinces from the village trees) joining the cheese, or at times a freshly made "tourte de gibier" with selected wildfowl and venison in a paste - traditional dishes from the region that you might taste for the first time. The service is very friendly, and easy-going without a lack of attention - everything at a very reasonable price. If your looking for something special without extravagance or pretentions expectations - just try it.
