The hotel is fairly new. The breakfast in the morning is good with lots of variety compared to other complimentary breakfast at others hotels in the area. The price is good too. It's very convenient for the Casino which you can literally walk to across the road. It is difficult to find availability there. You need to book well in advance especially if there are shows at the casino then. Due to the convenience of the hotel, it fills up quickly!

Room Tip: Book very early! The hotel fills up quickly!

We booked a room for two nights at the Days Inn using their website. They advertised for a TOTAL of TWO nights for $270. ($135/night) Which included a "free" movie, free continental breakfast for two mornings, a "free" gift (gym bag). When we arrived after a long journey from Hamilton, we checked in at the front desk at the Days Inn Orillia. We were THEN told that it is $270 PER DAY, NOT $270 total for 2 days. PLUS $100 deposit if we were paying cash, with the taxes for ONLY TWO DAYS the front desk staff told us we HAD to pay $700 FOR TWO NIGHTS at their Days Inn. We then said we were NOT going to pay that since that we were told it was $270 for two nights total, and we were going to go back home, then the woman at front desk "changed her tune" and "decided" to "let us stay" for ONLY ONE night for $137 + taxes and $50 deposit. She even claimed that we made the reservations, that we were talking to reservations in the United States. Which is irrelavant, since THEY SHOULD KNOW what they are advertising on their website.
By the way, the pool is INFESTED with ants. Plus NO soap. We will NEVER recommend this place as well, we will NEVER come here EVER AGAIN.

Thank you for taking the time to respond regarding your stay with us. I apologize if you felt you were mislead by our advertising. The cost of the package listed on our site states "prices starting at". This is a one person rate and prices go up depending on the number of people in the room. As you had 3 in your party, the cost of your particular package was higher than the starting at rate. I do not know what information was communicated to you by central reservations and apologize for the confusion at check in at our hotel. Your comment on trip advisor refers to ants on the pool deck and upon reading this we did an investigation of the pool area. No ant activity was discovered. Our sign on the pool door clearly states no food or beverage within the pool enclosure and we try our best to monitor and control this. Again we are sorry you were disapponted with your stay. We hope you will stay again with us again in the future.

Decided to book this room with friends as we were going to the Celtic Woman concert at the Casino Rama. The room was clean, however it was so hot in the room no one could sleep. We turned the fan on cool on the registar and it was like sleeping over the engines of an airplane. It also didn't cool anything down, just made lots of noise. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain the water out either. I normally don't complain, but did tell the front desk about the problem. No one got any sleep, they didn't seem to interested at the front desk, just said they would tell someone, but the next night nothing had changed, no one did anything. For the amount we paid $180 per night, I would go somewhere else. We only stayed there because it was close to the casino and thought we could walk across as they told me when we booked. It was quite a long walk, no sidewalks and very dark so we drove. I found out later that other hotels shuttle you back and forth to the casino, next time we will do that.

We were attending a concert at Casino Rama and had very limited options of hotels to stay at, as we booked last minute and most other hotels were full. That's what led us to this hotel, and I'm glad we stayed here! The check in was very fast, rooms are a good size and the place was very clean. I would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again. We requested a non smoking room, and did not smell any smoke what so ever.

Most of the other reviews of this hotel I read were great, so we decided to give it a try. I booked last minute Penn and Teller tickets for Casino Rama and to stay at the casino hotel was over three times the price of the Days Inn.

Fast check-in, room exactly as promised (non-smoking, 2 queen beds), very nice pool, quiet hallways at night, comfortable bed, bar fridge and microwave in the room, and continental breakfast included! Staff were friendly and helpful, handed us the casino shuttle schedule at check-in and strongly discouraged drinking and driving (explained how police patrol the Days Inn entrance at night) which we thought was fabulous.

Any time we are up at Rama again we will DEFINITELY be staying at the Days Inn. Kudos to the staff and management for making a 2-star hotel a 4-star experience.
