This place has breathtaking views. The rooms are picturesque. There are a lot of activities in the winter to still do from Geocaching, horseback riding and the gun range. The food is traditional Greek and soooooo yummy. It was really relaxing to sit in the lobby all night playing bored games. Definitely a great place to stay for a romantic weekend get away or a nice place to stay if you are going to hike the Imbros Gorge.

We stopped here for the night, based on the good reviews, in the mean time we stayed here already about a week. We found a very relaxed atmosphere, excelent kitchen, high quality rooms. The place is kind of isolated, in the center of the 'White mountains', and ideal for people like us who are not crazy about big crowds. I think you can call the place authentic.

I am a regular visitor in this resort for more than 15 years. Till recently it was very favorite during wintertime, but with the new swimming pool, it is my choice for summertime as well. It is definitely the ultimate place to be, while visiting Sfakia. Best value for money. Excellent food as well. You can use it as a starting point for numerous excursions around.

For me a return to Lefkoritis Resort is some kind of celestial experience. It is not one single factor. But rather a total package that starts with driving through the mountains to the resort. The drive, the mountainous scenery and a windy, empty road in good condition, is just like out of a luxury car TV commercial. Real life in a nice fast car is mostly stop and go traffic jams or driving past endless big box stores. But here the fantasy is real. Then coming around the last mountain bend and this hidden valley opens up---it is empyrean to say the least. The valley is not too large or too small. But it is green, compact, perfectly shaped and completely surrounded by steep mountains on all sides. It feels like it's own world. Isolated+quiet yet only a 30 minute drive to the north or south coasts. Plus it has two historic castles that a challenging but doable climb will reach. And then the feeling of seeing the resort after just another couple of minutes of driving--- just adds to a near euphoric experience for me. Again the resort was just great. The stone villas, the furniture, the beds and bedding is all kept clean and in good condition. You really have your own small house. Private, quiet, with easy parking and access, various sitting areas, yet just feet away from the wonderful restaurant. Wonderful for it's views, and it's menu of excellent Greek and Game dishes. The breakfasts are great and having breakfast served while sitting outside on the terrace is ambrosial. The pool is especially pleasing--good views,a good size and depth and it's setting is beautifully manicured and kept. On a practical note---nobody would say this--but i find the Resort is a easy drive (that is both scenic+interesting) from both Chania, Rethymno and even the historic sites of Eleutherna and Aperta.(which both have had relatively recent+interesting excavations done). Yet the mountain location of the resort is a pleasing change from the heat of the coast--while the villas have a solid central heating system if required. Again my stay was much too short but i will come again and do more hiking in the mountains and hopefully do some horse riding as well. Bliss.

My family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids (9 and 7) stayed at Lefkoritis for only one night on our way from Kissamos to Sfakia and wished we'd had longer to stay and enjoy all the resort offered. It is relatively new - beautiful stone buildings with gorgeous attention to detail. The pool was great for the kids and the dinner and breakfasts we had were excellent and very generous. We took advantage of the stables and the kids and I had a nice ride. It was a really nice break from the heat of the coasts and I loved waking to the sounds of the sheep and goats being herded out to pasture. We would go back and stay for longer - and will recommend to our friends.

Room Tip: There are stone cottages and all seem well located and well appointed.
