What a fantastic find! From the moment you arrive you can relax in these clean, modern but beautiful villas. The villas are the best equipped holiday rentals I have ever come across and Vaso & Peter are the nicest hosts you could possibly find. Nothing is too much trouble for either of them.
We spent 2 weeks both lying by the pool (with views of mountains in the background) or exploring the local area. The pool is a perfect temperature for both adults and children so kept the kids occupied for hours without them getting cold. Within a few minutes drive is the bustling harbour of Agia Efimia, which has enough restaurants to choose a different one every night for a fortnight. So much else to do nearby also - too much to write here.
We loved it so much we're going back next year and can't wait!
We stayed in Villa Theo for ten nights in July 2018. The location of the villa was absolutely perfect, and within easy distance of all of the things we wanted to see in Kefalonia. Agia Effimia is about five or so minutes away, Myrtos beach is five minutes in the other direction, Assos is 15 minutes and Fiskardo is about 30 minutes away. It is about a 45 minute drive to/from the airport.
Villa Theo is clean, comfortable and has every need catered for. The kitchen is well equipped, with basics in the fridge on arrival. The beds are comfortable, there are plenty of towels for inside and out by the pool, and there are insect screens on the windows and air conditioning, to ensure that the temperature is comfortable. The pool is gorgeous, and there is plenty of shade by way of parasols. The villa owner, Vaso, is kind, friendly and welcoming, and she even cooked us a meal of pasticcio one night, which was delicious (I wish I'd got the recipe from Vaso to cook it at home).
In the village are two tavernas, Maklithari (at the top of the hill, with tables on the village square) and The Black Sheep (a couple of minutes walk up the road towards Divarata), and the food at both is excellent. There are also two petrol stations, a bakery and a small supermarket. Further afield is Myrtos Taverna (just on the turn down towards Myrtos Beach) and Hellenic Sunset Bistro (just past the turn to Assos), both with excellent food and friendly staff. Down in Agia Effimia is a larger supermarket and various other shops, tavernas and boat hire.
We had an absolutely fantastic time at Forest Villas Kefalonia, and would not hesitate to recommend it. In fact we'll probably be back!
The villa Theo was magnificent! The location was perfect and close to the town of Agia Efimia. The amenities in and on the villa were outstanding - your own swimming pool to relax in, a BBQ grill for cooking, the outdoor patio was fantastic, there was a washer for your laundry needs, each room in the villa had AC, the fridge was stock with some necessities such as water, bread and wine. The owners Peter and his mom Vaso were so friendly and helpful. Vaso made us a stuff pepper and tomatoe dish for supper one night which was delicious. Overall, this villa was just fantastic and if we could, we would stay forever!
Thank You Peter and Vaso!
It is a little while since we stayed at Villa Theo (August 2016) with my family, including 2 teenage girls, but the memories from our stay still bring a smile to the face. The villa was absolutely superb and a real credit to the effort and investment made by Vaso and her family.
Speaking of Vaso, this lady really could not have done any more to make us feel welcome and make our stay enjoyable. Her family were a great source of information and several of the amazing spots that we visited were because of their input.
This will definately be our first choice when we return to Kefalonia and I would hghly recommend it.
Villa Theo is the best equipped villa we have stayed in. It's absolutely gorgeous, well thought out, extremely tasteful and absolutely spotless. The owner Vaso goes out of her way to make you feel welcome with thoughtful touches. The location is great, half way between Myrtos Beach and Agia Efimia and walking distance to a great little bakery and a small supermarket. It's rural enough that the night sky is dark and the stars are bright - great for evenings sat out on the Varanda!! The taverna about a ten minute walk away was authentic and friendly, a great place to watch local life and the food was fabulous. We had a thoroughly relaxing holiday and would love to return - thank you Vaso!
This is an outstanding villa , with high quality furniture , tastefully decorated in a wonderful setting
We have spent thirty years holidaying in villas across the world but have never experienced the warmth of welcome or attention to detail afforded us by our host Vaso
Do not look further as you will not find better. An incredible stay and we will return
We had a great time at Villa Theo - it had everything you needed for a stay, very modern and spotless. The owner, Vaso, was very accommodating and a great host. The villa was situated in a lovely secluded spot, but close to Agia Efimia which had some nice restaurants and a wonderful new bakery/ice cream parlour! Its central location meant that nowhere was too far to travel. Highly recommend!
