We arrived at 6pm after a long days drive. A 40 minute delay because of housekeeping being short staffed while checking in seemed to be an omen. We were eventually “upgraded” to a lakefront room. Let’s start with the good. The room was well temperature controlled, it had a balcony and the view was lovely. The bed was comfortable. We were also compensated with free in room internet (usually $40). The room was a 3rd floor “apartment” narrow stairs only, the room was hurriedly made up with several items missing eg the tea/coffee array had not been restocked and was not restocked during our stay. There was only one towel and im not convinced the linen had been changed, just remade. Also while the view is beautiful there is also a main road running directly in front of the room and only single glazing and ill fitting on the windows leading to significant traffic noise. Fortunately the traffic dies down in the evening. I also mention it is called an apartment because while the in room guide gives instructions for oven, dishwasher, washing machine etc. none of these facilities exist. The refrigerator was also not functioning properly, leaking water and not freezing. no glassware other than the bathroom glasses and wine glasses. Overall this is a cheaply made, shoddily run, resort for masses of visitors on a bus, with a price tag suggesting a far more salubrious experience. It’s fine for a place to sleep, but adjust your expectations.
