Went for our 2nd wedding anniversary. Where in room 810 view was amazing! Thought it may have been noisy as next to the road, but was very surprise, very quiet. Bath and shower where amazing, fantastic water pressure in the shower and had a view out over the lake in the bath.
The room could have done with a little maintenance though - lots of little stains on the carpet and a lot of scuffs on the room and ceiling??? In the bathroom all the grout had come out between the tiles so they where loose and in the silicone in the bottom of the shower was brown/black with mould.

We initially got the standard king hotel room. It was very bad. The room was no bigger than the king bed itself. No place to put anything and barely enough space to move.

We did pay to upgrade to a 1 br apartment which was beautiful.

Also there are some sneaky rules that are a little unusual. For example, 10 am checkout is inconvenient, and they'll try to charge you to check out later. Sort of feels like they are nickel and dining you.

Kia Ora Dconnaughton,

Thank you for your feedback. We apologise that the Standard Hotel Room that you booked was not suitable for your needs. We are however glad that you found your upgraded 1 Bedroom unit to be comfortable, spacious and pleasant. We always encourage people requiring more space to look at our larger apartment-style options, as the Standard Rooms can be very size restrictive.

We do appreciate your feedback regarding our late check out policy and please note we only charge for late check out where we believe that we may not be able to resell the room for that particluar night.

Once again thank you for your feedback and we sincerely hope to see you again on your next visit to Lake Tekapo.

This is a busy hotel with coach parties. This may cause you a problem but it did not effect us. We were advised to take breakfast before 7.30 am as otherwise it would be bedlam. The room was extremely good with a balcony( two chairs but no table). The views were just outstanding.
We think the bed was for us too soft. The pay wifi is a ripoff really these days and should be complimentary included in the price of the rooms.
We received a discounted breakfast which was good. Recommend the pancakes with syrup and cream!
Very satisfied with our stay here which was for two nights

Room Tip: We had requested a delux lake view room and we were allocated 817. A very good room and with dual as...

My husband and I stayed in Peppers on 28 Nov 2013. It was a terrible experience. The room is so small and we could find a place to set up our laptop. The air-condition is next to our door. The noise from the air-condition is so loud and we couldn't sleep at all. When we made a compliant this morning, they have noticed the situation but do not have any plan to fix the problem. If this problem couldn't be fixed, this room should not be accommodated. We are here to have a rest not to get annoyed. We were in room 818A.

I've stayed in many hotels/resorts however this resort was the best I have ever stayed in. We stayed in an apartment room with a mountain view however we still had slight views of Lake Tekapo (the main attraction!). Our room was gorgeous - bedroom, bathroom and dryer downstairs with the kitchen, dining, lounge and balcony upstairs. My husband and I felt like royalty staying in this room! There was a coffee machine in the kitchen (the first two capsules were free, each one after was $2.50) and they were delicious. Everything was clean, well kept and comfortable. I have nothing negative to say about this place. The money-saving part of me though does wish it was slightly cheaper as I think this deters many visitors from staying here however if you can fit it into your budget then it's well worth it.

Room Tip: We originally booked a "hotel room" which is the cheapest room type however on arrival we...

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights and the location was fantastic. We were lucky to get a lake view room (highly recommended)

The accommodation was modern and well laid out. We cooked our own meals and everything was there for us. The only fault was the washer dryer didn't work properly.

But the staff handy man was quick on the scene to help out and a solution was provided.

The location is perfect for site seeing around the area and we will be returning.

Kia Ora ChappyOz ,

Thank you for your great review. We are absolutely over-the-moon to hear that you had such a wonderful time here. Lake Tekapo is absolute jewel in the South Island, and it's not until people get here that they realise how wonderous it is. With that said, we would certainly enjoy the chance to host you here again in the future, and hopefully enjoy a longer stay.

I stayed two nights recently at this resort and found it rather disappointing.
I have never been in a smaller room and I feel that a King bed standard room should be bigger than just a king size bed. There was barely room to walk around the bed so it was tiny!
Having said that it was a comfortable bed and the bathroom was fine. The shower had good pressure and was hot.
The window was also tiny so it was dark. Considering the wonderful views at Lake Tekapo this was disappointing. However there are only a few rooms that face the Lake so make sure you request Lake views.
I ate in the restaurant and the food was really nice but the staff were rather indifferent and as there were only three other tables occupied it was very hard to get the waiters' attention as they seemed more interested in setting up for breakfast that attending to the customers in the restaurant. I ordered a beer and when I requested a glass I was handed a wine glass hot out of the dishwasher!.. Apart from that the service was slow but as I was in no hurry that wasn't too much of a problem.
So my advice basically would be to either make sure you get a better room as apparently that is the normal standard room size , or stay elsewhere right on the lake.

Room Tip: Ask for Lake view room. it would be worth the extra money.

Kia Ora AmandaOZ09,

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you found the size of the standard room not to your liking. Our rooms are varied, and due to the design are spread across our property. There are great rooms all over the site, but certainly if you are looking for a room with space and view you would need to book a lake view apartment.
We are however glad that you otherwise found the beds in your room to be comfortable and the bathroom space and design to your liking. We have also disscussed the feedback with regards to your dining experience with our restaurant management team in detail so that we can further improve the service standards.

We cannot thank you enough for your review, and we very much look forward to seeing you again in the future.
