This was the perfect choice for our overnight accommodation in Lake Tekapo. Centrally located near all the facilities this small town has to offer. Best of all is the view! The managers are also very friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay here again.

A large group of us stayed her for 3 nights. Our studio unit had the most amazing view out across the lake to the Two Thumb Range. We sat on the deck and had breakfast and soaked up the sun and the view. The large two bedroom unit was great for us all gathering in and having a few drinks. There was plenty of room for us all. (16) Plenty of plates, cutlery etc. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned. We would stay again. Thanks

Room Tip: Upstairs facing the lake.

I stayed at the Lake Tekapo Scenic Resort for 2 nights at the beginning of October.

I had a room downstairs with nice views of the lake - I could even see the little church. My room was very comfortable - the bed was comfy although I could really have done with more pillows. It was easy to get the room to a nice warm temperature with the thermostat, which was great because it was pretty cold at night!

There was a fridge, toaster and kettle in the room and a range of cutlery and crockery. Also a nice comfy sofa, a table and some chairs. There was a spa bath and a shower in the bathroom.

The management/owners were friendly and welcoming and nice to have a chat with. There was also car parking available in front of the units - once you have worked out where the resort actually is!!

Lake Tekapo is possibly the tiniest place I have stayed in New Zealand - it takes about 10 minutes to walk from the Church to the other side of town, via a few eateries, a tourist information store and a supermarket/petrol station. When it is windy/wet/bad weather the observatory road shuts which leads to there being pretty much nothing to do, but it's not a long drive to Aoraki/Mt Cook for some beautiful scenery and walks.

Room Tip: All rooms are good ones with views of the lake

We were doing a road trip with my Dad who was over from Canada, so the "Upstairs Family Unit" was perfect for our needs since we had three adults and one 9 year old. The front desk staff (the owner?) were extremely friendly and welcoming and efficient. From the time we parked (we drove in from Christchurch) to the time we were in our room was probably less than 10 minutes.

Great views over the lake and mountains (with binoculars you can see Mt St John observatory), close to the food options in "town" and a 10 minute walk to the Church of the Good Sheppard this is a fantastic location.

The kitchen was what you'd expect for this sized place, two burners, a small fridge and a microwave (kettle, toaster, plates etc) and more than met our needs.

Small issues with cleanliness (a used bandaid behind one of the night tables - I wasn't inspecting, i moved it to plug in my phone) and the room size (it's not huge and would be better suited for 3 rather than 4) but over all a great value.

Room Tip: There doesn't seem to be very many rooms here that don't have a view, but ask.

Arrived near dark and recieved a great welcome, our room was neat and tidy and the bed very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helped us with finding somewhere to eat.Plenty of choices of Cafes available very close and good quality food. When awaking the next morning "Wow" we opened our curtains and were astounded at the magnifient view over looking the lake and the snow capped mountains in the distance. We feel the picture in the brochure does not do this hotel justice as the views from your room are to die for.

Room Tip: Try and get upstairs room overlooking the lake, stunning views

Very clean and pleasant welcoming hosts. Views fantastic. Very small though and room configuration a little strange. Beds not the most comfortable. Not a home away from home in any form. Would not want to stay for long as nowhere to spread out and nowhere comfortable to sit. Bit mean with the towels and quite expensive for what it is.

Enjoyed my room with awesome view to lake and ranges with changing colours every few minutes!! and terrific spa bath. Friendly service and they have very good room attendants, spotless place to stay. Only fault is, I should have stayed longer. I love Lake Tekapo :))

Room Tip: Room with a view is a must here.
