We stayed at Lake Tekapo Lodge at the end of March, and we both thoroughly enjoyed our two night stay. Our room was nicely decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable, all the rooms have a lovely outside space with chairs to enjoy the fabulous view. Alistair and Stephanie are lovely hosts, very friendly but also very professional. We really appreciated the advice Stephanie gave us on booking a restaurant and so glad she recommended the visit to Mount Cook where the drive was stunning and also Stephanie thank you so much for doing some washing for us, it was a great help! We must also mention the breakfasts cooked by Alistair which were beautiful, especially the omelettes!! Thank you both for a very enjoyable stay and we would definately recommend Lake Tekapo Lodge.

Thank you so much for your kind words and we are really pleased you enjoyed your stay here in the Mackenzie. We understand the "issues" when travelling and local knowledge is always the best - was great you made the drive to Mt Cook. As an obsessive launderer when travelling, getting some washing done is always at the top of my list so we are always very happy to assist - I just draw the line at ironing!! Do hope you make it back to NZ one day, Best, STephanie

We stayed at the Lodge as part of our 40th wedding anniversary celebrations. The accommodation was of a very high standard with good views of the lake. The breakfasts were excellent. We were given a special evening meal to celebrate us retaking our wedding vows - it was really stunning. . Steph & Alistair were lovely and supportive the whole way through. Our over riding memory will be of a place that is run by kind and caring people.

Kia Ora Lee and Val! And many thanks for your lovely review of your stay with us. It was such an honour to be part of your special occasion. As we live in a small community our friends were also part of the celebrations. It was fun to be able to share the photos from Julie at breakfast! Thank you for choosing this special part of the world to renew your vows. Best, Stephanie

Having enjoyed our previous stay at Lake Tekapo Lodge so much, we recommended it to my parents, who joined us for our latest visit. It's safe to say that we didn't regret our recommendation - they loved it too!

Since our last stay, the Lodge has got even better (there's now even more of the stunning artwork). It's impossible not to find something to love amongst the art collection.

The communal lounge is available to all guests and is a lovely cosy place to relax with a drink (tea, coffee and wine are all provided in the lounge).

The rooms are very well appointed and maintained. Everything has been very well thought through to make the rooms feel special, including the super-squidgy carpet. The beds are very comfortable too. Our rooms had views over the Lake and a balcony where the view could be enjoyed on warmer days (three of the four rooms share the same view).

The bathrooms are just as special (with beautiful light fittings!). The shower was considered to be the best of our month long trip, (the shelf and mirror were at the perfect height, the water pressure was perfect and the shower had been designed to stop the water from running across the rest of the bathroom floor). The New Zealand made toiletries were lovely too.

Stephanie and Alistair are the perfect complements to the fantastic property and are truly dedicated to helping all of their guests enjoy their stay. It genuinely feels like staying with friends.

After a night of luxury in your room, another treat is in store in the form of breakfast with a view. The dining table sits in front of a huge picture window overlooking the Lake, framed by the mountains on either side. It's not just the view that makes breakfast here so enjoyable - Alistair's legendary breakfast omelettes are well deserving of their status and service always comes with a smile.

The only downside to our stay was having to leave - we absolutely love it here and can't wait for our next visit!

Room Tip: All rooms except the Mackenzie room have the same views over the lake

Wow Marc and Emma - what a glowing review! Many thanks! We were so thrilled you remembered your first stay with us and loved seeing you again, especially with parents too.
You have been so complimentary some readers may think this is a "scam" but we know it is just a real response to a real experience! Looking forward to your next visit!? Just as an aside for any readers, we no longer make the fourth room available due to enforcement of local body regulations limiting activity in a residential zone... The three lake view rooms are all very comfortable, sharing a terrace with french doors from our rooms. We try to only have gorgeous guests, maximum six adults, so everyone has a lovely time!Best, Stephanie

The absolute best accommodation during our five weeks in New Zealand. Large and beautiful rooms with a bathroom that went above and beyond everything else. Patio out onto Lake Tekapo with very nice views. The whole House was very tastefully decorated and there was a living room which was also very nice with free drinks in the fridge. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly, breakfast great. We would absolutely like to recommend this B&B.

Stephanie and Alistair are such a friendly and enthusiastic couple and welcomed us to Lake Tekapo Lodge and their beautiful home. It is certainly such a lovely place to stay with our room overlooking the lake and a balcony you can sit, contemplate and watch the stars!

The bedrooms are well appointed, a spacious shower room, there's a lounge and tea and coffee making area with soft drinks and even a glass of wine if wanted! Stephanie and Alistair are a source of advice and information. They didn't offer evening meals, but there are plenty of restaurants a short walk away. Stephanie did offer to do some washing for us.

There's a lot of construction work going on by the lake and centre of Tekapo at the moment, which is a bit noisy and unfortunate, but the Lodge is away from this and doesn't affect the lodge!

Kia Ora Anna! Many thanks for taking the time to recommend us on TA. We much enjoyed your lovely company... It is unfortunate the construction work on the lake shore coincided with your time in Tekapo but imagine how much better our beautiful village will be nxt time you come?! Hope you are enjoying QT! best, Stephanie
