“Excellent B&B”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 27, 2011

Stayed for a couple of nights, booked after reading Tripadvisor reviews, we we were not disappointed.
Large spacious rooms and enormous en-suite bathroom full of hi-tech gizmos.
Tremendous views over the Azure Lake Tekapo. Ideal for the Church of the Good Shepherd and Mnt Cook.
Excellent hosts. Super breakfasts.
Away from the busy (by NZ Standards) main road so nice and quiet.
Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful B&B. Situated on a small hillside overlooking the lake & its magnificently-coloured water. It is modern & decorated very well. The owners are very friendly * the whole impression is of staying in a friend's house. The rooms are spacious & very well appointed with modern expensive-looking facilities. The owners are only too willing for you to share their living room with them. A good & filling cooked breakfast is available.

We only stayed one night but would have liked to stay longer. The town seemed to have lots of personality. Steve and Jenny were very friendly and fun to be around. The breakfast was fantastic. They have a nice view of the lake and the pegasus room and bathroom were modern, very clean, and very comfortable. We loved all the animals and we're happy they had wireless internet available too.

We stayed two nights at Tekapo Heights in the Pegasus room with views over the lake. We also had our own bathroom which was very nice with floor heating and a great bath tub and shower. The room itself was decorated nicely and was quite comfy. The hosts were very friendly and provided a delicious breakfast in their living room which has fantastic views over Lake Tekapo. It only takes about 5 minutes to walk into town and there are many great walks one can do. All in all a great place to relax for a few days with stunning scenery and would definitely stay there again.

This is a spectacular and luxurious B and B run by a friendly couple. Can recommend the continental breakfast, with home made goodies. We had
spectacular views from our B’room which was beautifully furnished and equipped, with windows to two sides and a patio door to the garden. It takes around five minutes to walk down to the village centre. Can recommend the walk around the lakeside and up to Mount John Observatory which has a very good cafe. Hosts were able to advise on restaurants.

A lovely place to stay. Judy & Joe Gold Coast Australia

This is a spectacular and luxurious B and B run by a friendly couple. Can recommend the continental breakfast, with home made goodies. The view from the living room windows looks as if it has been painted on, and there was an interesting dusting of snow on the tops of the mountains while we were there.

We booked through wotif at a last minute so it was a very good rate. We were in the ensuite room which had less spectacular views than the others but was still comfortable with a huge bed, beautifully furnished and equipped, with windows to two sides and a patio door. The bathroom had underfloor heating and an excellent shower which even had a built in radio.

It takes around five minutes to walk down to the village centre. Can recommend the walk around the lakeside and up to Mount John Observatory which has a very good cafe. Hosts were able to advise on restaurants.

A lovely place to stay.
