“Beautiful place, especially with the special background”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

The chapel is small. However, the small chapel possesses the best location with icy-top moutain and the emerald-like lake- Lake Tekapo. It is a combination of holly spirit and natural beauty.

“WORTH A LOOK”
Reviewed October 10, 2013

This old stone chapel is the "face" of Lake Tekapo. Beautiful views of the lake from the grounds. Everyone stops there, you might as well.

A beautiful wee church on the lake front. A gorgeous picture window at the alter showcases the lovely lake Tekapo. Beautiful interior and the outer stonework is lovely to.

“beautiful!”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

Thankfully I went when it was a bright sunny day with blue skies! The blueness is reflected in the lake waters, which make it look heavenly! Its really a lovely place to admire. Don't go during the tourist peak season though! No. 1 its real hard to get good pictures and the Cathedral gets swamped. and plus its either too hot in summer or too cold in winter, so its best to go somewhere in between!

“Timeless”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Such a beautiful little church on the shore of Lake Tekapo. It's such a beautiful place with stunning scenery you can't take a bad photo. Sunset is the best time to photography the church, but it's amazing at any time of day. Lots of tourists though, so you'll need to be patient.
