Today I had lunch with three friends at Shanika's Italian Restaurant in Mount Waverley. I ordered Tornado Rossini, a dish I had had elsewhere, some years ago, and thoroughly enjoyed. The steak, which was the main part of the course, was almost impossible to cut, and when I did manage to cut a piece, it was just gristle, which I had to remove from my mouth. I ate the vegetables which were OK, although a bit cold, and explained to the waitress when she collected the plates, about the meat. She spoke to the chef, and came back and asked would I like him to cook me another piece of
steak, or would I like a free coffee. As I was with friends, and we had already ordered desserts at the commencement of the meal, which were about to be served, this was not practical. One of my friends also commented that her meal was not very hot. The waitress was very pleasant, but the food I would not recommend, and it was not cheap.
