Amore Bed and Breakfast

I was persuaded to book at Amore B&B based on the wonderful reviews it's received. They were right. The building is picturesque and perfectly located just at the end of Gallery Walk, the main restaurant/shopping street. Opposite is a brewery/restaurant/cheese factory which is just perfect for lunch or dinner.

The rooms are delightful - beautifully appointed spotlessly clean. At night, John lit a fire in the guest lounge and I enjoyed sitting by the fire with a book or for a chat with my hosts before dinner.

Breakfast in the sunny breakfast room was something to look forward to. Attentive but unobtrusive service from host Kay and a fine array of cereals, juices, teas, coffee, home-made jams, cheeses, meats and fruits provided everyone with a wide choice.

I really can't speak highly enough of the hospitality. Kay offered a taxi service to and from restaurants which I appreciated (but declined). She also helped with local knowledge and managed to secure me the best table near the fire for an evening at the local Irish pub - Clancy's. Kay and John seemed to have a sixth sense about when I wanted company and when I was happy to just sit and read quietly.

Free wifi internet access was a great bonus.

To anyone who needs a quiet break in beautiful surroundings with a warm, friendly environment that hotels just can't provide - I couldn't recommend anywhere better than Amore. I left feeling that I hadn't just had a holiday - I'd made new friends.

This was our third trip to Amour. Each time it has been consistantly... Excellent!
Nothing is too much trouble for Kay and John and every effort is made to ensure the perfect stay. The room are spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. In my opinion the perfect location ( for everything ).
In fact when staying with Kay and John you are made to feel more like a friend than a " paying Guest ".
Thanks again Kay and John for another perfect stay. Do hope to see you again!!!

This beautiful, elegant B&B lived up to all expectations....and more! It was everything it said on its website and we were not disappointed with anything.

Hosts, Kay and John were so welcoming, warm and helpful - they ensured our stay was of the highest quality and that we wanted for nothing. They offered to drive us (and their other guests) to any of the restaurants or spa's we were going to without anyone having to worry about dessie driver/drink driving, they gave wonderful suggestions of places to eat, see and thing to do. At night a cosy fire awaited us upon our returns from trips/meals out and in the morning a delicious, delectable breakfast was on offer .....and great coffee!

Our bedroom was stunning! large, comfortable, beautiful and indulgent. Lots of little touches - evening port, chocolates and luxury items in the bathroom.... Everything was perfect!

This is one of the best B&B's I have ever stayed in. Central to everything, quiet, elegant and filled with romantic ambiance. We will to back to Amore for more!

We elected to stay at Amore to recover from a 24 day Asian holiday prior to returning to our home in Adelaide.
It was the perfect choice, thankfully.
The area is tropical with a delightful chill in the air. It was the tonic we needed after the humidity we had experience.
Eagle Heights must be the craft centre of Queensland and the shops are a delightful walk from Amore. Wet weather !! Kay provides large umbrellas, come to think of it she seems to provide for all situations.
The home is a Queenslander recreation. two stories with 3 guest rooms on the top and one on the ground floor. This provided us with privacy sometimes lacking in other B&B's we have visited.
The rooms are extremely comfortable, warm or cool as you require, with great beds linen and ensuite. I particularly liked the books available.
The breafast area is thoughtfully laid out with four tables for two spread out to be private but also socially acceptable. I always fear being placed on a large table having to converse with unknown parties. I go away for a two together time and Kay has provided that.
Finally the continental breakfast is perfectly balanced with quality cheeses and cold meats and seasonal fruits. I was especially taken with the local preserves and the choice of breads offerred.
We will return later this year, and would congratulate Kay on her beautiful home and the manner in which in which she attends to her guests.

Amore Bed & Breakfast is ideally situated in the picturesque Mount Tamborine. Kay is the perfect host, who readily goes out of her way to ensure her guests have a pleasant stay. Nothing is too much trouble, from providing tourist advice, showing you round the mountain and driving her guests to local places of interest restaurants etc. The rooms are lovely boutique rooms, each with it's own identity that goes towards making your stay enjoyable, relaxing and a home away from home.
Many thanks to Kay and John for a fabulous stay.

It was my sister's 50th Birthday, we booked the whole charming house out for our family. We had stayed at Amore B & B earlier this year and this is where my sister wanted to spend her special Birthday. Kay and John are exceptional hosts, so welcoming, warm, helpful and friendly. Our stay was more than we could have hoped for, nothing was any trouble, Kay is such a delight and just thinks of everything. Kay & John have a great knowledge of Mount Tamborine and plenty of ideas on what to do and where to go.....all recommendations were perfect in every way. We can't wait to return for our next escape to bliss....love those comfortable beds!!

We were attending a wedding in the vicinity for the weekend and Amore B&B was booked for us by the wedding party and had spoken to the owners in advance to book our rooms who was very welcoming. The location of the B&B was really handy for walking to the local shops.

I can't speak more highly of Kay and her husband John. They were in every way very hospitable from giving us directions, to offering to show us around Mt.Tamborine, to providing everything we could possibly need, nothing was EVER too much trouble. When we checked in, Kay showed us to our rooms and explained the amenities which were plentiful! All 4 rooms have an en-suite bathroom, flat-screen tv, mini bar, dresser, tea & coffee making facilities, balcony and even decanted Port if you wish to partake in a nightcap.

The rooms are reminiscent of a British country cottage with each room being decorated differently to the others and maintained to a high standard. The rooms are as follows; Blue Delph, Wedgwood, Country Rose & Doulton, all of which are furnished and colour co-ordinated to match the room name. A continental breakfast is served, again Kay is on hand to have a chat and provide you with anything you may need.

The experience at Amore was exceptional, it was akin to staying with an old friend, nothing was ever too much trouble and we all enjoyed Kay & John's company, they were completely obliging. I can honestly say I have absolutely no negatives to write about in this review. Amore B&B was a delight to stay in and we would love to go back again.
