We spent our weekend at Camelot and can not have asked for anything better. Janice and Peter are absolutely warm and welcoming. From the time we checked in till the time we checked out, if there was anything we needed, they were there to provide it to us.

We stayed in the Hinterland cabin (it's the one in the middle) and were completely blown away as we walked in. The photos of the spa bath does not do justice to its size - it is massive! The comfy king size bed and the fireplace were much appreciated as well.

We also received the breakfast hamper; just about everything was locally sourced. The yoghurt from the Witches Chase Cheese Co was definitely our favourite pick. If you prefer fresh, local produce, you definitely will not go wrong here.

Our biggest highlight was a recommendation by Peter: watch the sunset with a bottle of fizz and a picnic platter at the hand glider lookout (only a short walk over). Once the sun sets, stick around for the stars to come out. We could not have asked for anything more romantic.

All in all, if you're looking for a romantic getaway, this is the place for you to stay. If you want to go out and explore Tamborine Mountain, Janice and Peter will happily recommend you all the great places. If you want to stay in and relax, then get the fireplace going and slip into the spa bath with a bottle of wine.

Hi A;
Thanks for the great write up. I know you took a lot of photos while you were at Camelot so perhaps we can borrow them and do more 'justice' to our product. It was lovely to see you both and we appreciated the feedback as to what you thought was great on the mountain. We store all this away as 'guest experiences' and tell other guests what may be in store for them. The nights are now a lot colder than when you stayed so next time the log fire will be on full blast!
Best regards
P&J

The Camelot accommodation was perfect for a weekend in the mountains. We knew it looked great when booking but in completely exceeded every expectation. The property is well maintained with beautiful avocado trees everywhere! We stayed in a cabin which was perfect for a couple, we managed to have a great sleep which helped us do lots of day time activities!

Peter and Janice helped make the experience that much more enjoyable. They are very knowledgeable about the area and sincere people.

Two nights at Camelot/ in Mt. Tamborine was not enough. We tried to do as many activities as possible on the weekend but another night would have been nice. We went to the markets, watched the most amazing sunset right across from Camelots property, the distillery, the cheese factory, went for amazing dinners and saw the Tamborine waterfalls.

This was my third trip to Mt. Tamborine and my absolute favourite! Thank you Peter and Janice for provided such amazing accommodation!!! :)

Hi Alex;
Lovely to hear from you - are you back in Canada yet?
We loved all your constructive comments and know that you sampled nearly all the major attractions on the mountain and many of the wineries as well. As for the photos of the spectacular sunset with the electric storm coming across the horizen - well you may win a photo comp with those. You guys were also one of our many guests that asked before you tried and we were delighted to assist you with your itinerary and dining requirements. Let us know when you get back to the coast.
Many thanks
Peter & Janice
PS: Thanks for sending the photos of your stay.

Stayed for 1 night in one of the terraced rooms. Peter and Janice are lovely and full of good advice about making the most of your time in the area. Its a beautiful location a short stroll from the hanglider lookout, you have to go and watch the sunset! Room was lovely and clean full of cosy soft furnishings. I agree with all the positive comments. I would highly recommend the old church for a romantic relaxed evening meal

Hi MLHD
Thank you for your comments. Our 'Mountain Escape' rooms are our secondary product and many people love the value for money aspect without having to pay for any extras such as breakfast that is available locally and all part of the overall mountain experience. The next time you want to see the sunset the fizz and blankets are on us!
Many thanks

Possibly the best accommodation in Queensland, if not Australia! The rooms are nice and cosy, and so amazing in winter. The best part of staying at Camelot: Peter and Janice, such wonderful people! Definitely will be coming back!

We spent our last two nights in Australia in last minute rooms at Camelot. We were comfortable and cared for like old friends. The tea and cakes on arrival and dinner suggestions were much appreciated. The beautiful grounds were a pleasure to stroll, and the park across the street was a fabulous place to watch our last sunset in the Southern Hemisphere.

Room Tip: Note that there are two types of places here. One is simply a room, where we stayed. The other is...

Hi Guys;
So glad you enjoyed the brilliant sunsets from the Hang Glider lookout across the road. Probably one of THE best suset views in Australia looking out across the Scenic Rim to the Great Divide.
Have a great time in the USA and perhaps we will see you back in 3 years time when your trip finishes. Thank you for writing us up on TA and your kind comments. All the best!

Had to go to a friends wedding and had to book somewhere to stay on Mt Tamborine. Found Camelot and so happy I booked 2 nights to stay. My boyfriend and I got there just on 2pm, we were shown to our room then asked if we would like some home made carrot cake. It was so good we also were able to use their wii-fi free of charge. The next day we came back from the cheese factory and as soon as they saw that we were going to eat the cheese we had brought back with us (in their beautiful common room) they rushed to get us plates and anything else we needed. Such amazing service from such a lovely couple. Great clean rooms. We will def return.

Stayed two nights at the start of our honeymoon, and we were amazed by this place. Peter greeted us at our car on arrival, and the hospitality continued throughout our stay. Every detail you could imagine was taken care of, and we were provided with everything we needed. The self contained cottages are super nice and are very spacious and modern. The included breakfast was awesome as well. A perfect start to our honeymoon, and we definitely recommend this to anyone. Thanks again.

Room Tip: Cottages are a must!

Hi GR;
Many thanks for taking the time to write us up on TA and we are glad you enjoyed Tamborine Mountain and Camelot. We are also pleased you found your 'special midweek break' via our website as we try to promote our specials there rather than on the direct booking sites. We look forward to seeing you back on your anniversary.
Best wishes Janice & Peter
