We came from Brisbane for the day and I would agree with some of the other reviewers: For two adults and one 9 year old, it was an expensive walk on a bridge/gravel track for about 40 minutes with little in return. There was no wildlife, no real views, and too many visitors competing for small viewing platforms. I would advise, particularly international visitors, to instead take a walk on one of the many beautiful local walking tracks to see more rainforest, more wildlife and better views. Stop at the Mt Tamborine information centre for a map and directions.

For Skywalk management, you need to increase the value offer for visitors (the displays at the entry point were interesting but were tokenistic - and had no connection to what we were about to see) or decrease your charges and lower expectations in your marketing collateral.

You could increase value by having a guided nature walk or offer educational experiences relating to wildlife habitats suitable for children - particularly given your blah blah about environmental conservation, or at least have "something" unique.

Overall it was a very disappointing experience both as a visitor and for the mountain's tourism reputation - and we left feeling a little ripped off.

We thought the skywalk would be more interesting. Entry fees are very high compared with what you get. If you're lucky you get to see some birds, but they hide. Too many people wandering one after another. You can't stand, wait or look without being overrun by others, chattering along noisily. Walking along the tracks to the waterfalls gives you a better experience than the skywalk, which we find overhyped and too expensive for what you get.

thoroughly enjoyed our day out.We had my mother-in-law with us and as she is confined to a wheelchair, we could only take her on the first part of the walk. There was however lovely seating where we could take turns keeping her company and walking the rest of the track. We knew this before going on the walk, so weren't disappointed. Nick was most helpfull and explained where to find the butterflies and showed us what they looked like, we saw quite a few! Mum loved the experience, and loved that she could be part of a "bushwalk" too.
We enjoyed some light refreshments amongst the treetops first and a bit of retail therapy after, how is this not a perfect day?

It was great to get away from the mania of Surfers and the theme parks for a relaxing stroll through the trees. Not bad value considering the costs involved in constructing and maintaining the walkway and they make a good coffee too! Worth a visit also are the waterfalls which are a short drive down the road from the Skywalk turn off.

Really loved the walk the whole family enjoyed it. After dragging my 15 year old son out of the car he actually liked it too. Seen lots of butterflies and there was lots of interesting info about the rainforest.
