“Great mountain getaway!”
Reviewed January 1, 2014

My husband and I recently spent a wonderful couple of nights at Bungunyah Manor for a special birthday celebration. We were very well looked after by Kerrie and the staff, and there was even a lovely cheese platter delivered to us for the occasion, which was a nice surprise. We had a beautiful room in a quiet, tranquil setting, even though it is just a few minutes walk from all the action in the village. We were not able to take advantage of the dining experience there, as it was mid week, so we would definitely love to come back to stay longer and experience that one day soon. A great relaxing getaway!

I recently spent 2 days and 1 night at Bungunyah Manor for a business conference with a fully catered package. Kerrie and her team took exceptional care of us. The quality of food was outstanding and the quantity enough for a small army. I would thoroughly recommend this beautifully appointed Manor for business group, family holiday or romantic weekend for two

Room Tip: I had the room at the end of the hall which had a wrap around veranda on two sides. All rooms are s...

we always stay in the manor as it is our favourite place to stay on the mountain, also, the xmas in july functions are absolutely lovely,we have been going there for the past few years, the staff are also very welcoming, you have a choice of different themed rooms, our favourite being the elvis room, the breakfast is very nice even though they say a continental breakfast I would say it is continental plus.the manor is within walking distance of the famous shopping street, also, all the mountain markets are close by,what more could anyone ask for.

Room Tip: we recommend the elvis room but all the rooms are lovely

Travelling with my mum we had not had a very good time for a few days and we stumbled across the manor house with Kerry. She was a delight, it was quite late in the day when we arrived with no booking. Kerry showed us the room which was beautiful, clean and tranquil. She advised is of the happenings in the town and good restaurants to eat.
We had lovely breakfasts In Jacques restaurant attached to the manor, the best continental breakfast this side of Paris. We had dinner there in the evening and the main restaurant was out of a fairy tale is was so lovely.
We had a swim and a sauna.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to travellers. The township is lovely and the manor is walking distance.
The best place we stayed in for our time in brisbane. Thank you Kerry and co :)

Room Tip: The manor has an Elvis suite Four poster suite We had a Victorian. Lovely. All were excellent

Recently we had a family wedding at Mt Tambourine and we stayed here with my children who both have coeliac disease and Kerry really went out of her way to cater for them which really help to make our time there enjoyable. The rooms have that old worldly feel but very spacious with the sunken living room which also is a fold out bed where the kids slept. Plenty of room for a family. The balcony was generous so that we could sit outside and enjoy the view while having a glass of wine and watching the birds come in for food. The restaurant staff are so friendly and helpful and also really good with children. The continental breakfast is great with lots of fresh fruit home grown .
Can't wait to come up again as so welcoming with children.

We would have no hesitations in recommending a stay at Bungunyah Manor. We had a wonderful stay and a lovely meal. We were serenaded by a beautiful violinist during dinner and spent time relaxing in the cosy, old world charm lounge area. The service and food were both wonderful and we will be planning our next stay very soon. Lovely accomodation in our suite and very quiet and peaceful surrounds. 10 out of 10!!

Room Tip: we feel any room would be good. We were on the first floor up the very beautiful staircase which loo...

Wow, in July we were looking around Mt Tamborine for a location for a reunion and the moment we walking into the Manor I knew we had found it and on the weekend of the reunion in October Kerrie couldn't have been more helpful. 6 couples attended and we were given the run of the grounds for afternoon drinks and chats, our own table setup for dinner and on the Sat night Kerrie provided a complementary port to celebrate the reunion.
The room layout is great with the gas fire in the sunken living room and our room had a 4 poster bed (each room is different).
Being less than a 100m from Gallery Talk and with the great food on offer for dinner we just parked the car and didn't need it till we left after the late checkout that the whole group was provided which we needed as we were still chatting in the dinning room at 10.30 after enjoying the best continental breakfast I've ever had.
Highly recommended this venue for your stay on the mountain. Will be back for a couples weekend getaway.
