“Average fare, a bit pricey”
Reviewed August 17, 2013

I had the BBQ grilled chicken sandwich as everything else seemed overpriced for the location or maybe it was priced for the expected clients from the upscale hotel across the street.

The portion of chicken was rather small and the bread was only moderately toasted on the outside slices, with the middle one un-toasted, which made for a weird texture. The accompanying french fries were a little dry. It cost $4.90 which seems high compared with the standard lunch menus available at many other restaurants. I might have tried the steak, but did not want to invest $11 in what might have been an only acceptable steak, especially since I knew that the steak (Bife) served up by El Fogon Grill about 7 minutes away on foot was very good.

“Cappuccino Delight”
Reviewed January 15, 2013

Having arrived late in the evening, after a long nine hour bus ride, my intent was to have dinner at the hotel, if they had an in house restaurant. However, apart from in room services, they did not, so it was off to look for a place to eat. Right across the road was the Vida Ventura, which I decided to try, and was immediately so glad I had. Attention was immediate, and the food when it came out was both enormous in portion and delicious to eat.
There was little room for a dessert, but I did accept a suggestion to have a cappuccino, which I highly recommend. Not only was it flavoursome, but for the first time I have ever seen; when presented you could actually see the three distinct layers. Very very clever, and worth ordering a cup just for that.
