“Amazing meat & cheese plate and wine tastings on a beautiful deck”
Reviewed April 9, 2013 via mobile

This was by far the highlight of our wine tastings in Luyan de Cayo. You sit on a beautiful deck next to a koi pond, under weeping willows. You can do tastings while you eat lunch, or in their tasting room. We chose the special tasting, and had a choice of having it with a white wine, a rose, or all reds. We chose the rose and two reds, and it was amazing - for 60 pesos you got close to 3 glasses of wine. The wine was so good we bought a bottle. We also ordered the meat and cheese platter, which was huge and great value for 140 pesos - a few kinds of cured meats, trout, 3 types of cheeses, unlimited homemade bread, a few salsas, a salad, and olives and nuts. It was all very high quality. The perfect way to spend a few hours!

“Intimate wine tour followed by an excellent lunch”
Reviewed April 9, 2013

We visited the vineyard mainly to have a wine tour but ended up staying for lunch. The wine tour itself was fascinating and really enjoyable especially as my wife and I were shown around individually by a member of staff. We stayed on for lunch and it was excellent. Each course was accommpanied by fantastic wine and it was excellent value (approximately GBP40 for both of us). We would definitely remcommend this to anyone who visits.

“Perfect lunch after wine tasting”
Reviewed April 2, 2013

What better way to soak up all that wine than with homemade bread and olive oil. I easily could have filled up on that alone, but luckily I saved room for tapas: cheese, crackers, (homemade) raisins plate and beet puree on tortilla chips adorned with edible flowers. The beet puree was a fantastic aperitif. For the main course I had the vegetable lasagna with bolognese sauce. Portion size was HUGE. I ate about 1/4 of it (took home the rest for dinner), and it was fantastic! I enjoyed a tasting of 3 wines with my meal: chardonnay, merlot, and malbec. All of this was part of a group wine tasting tour, whose guide believes that lunch after wine tasting should be more than just a ham and cheese sandwich...I couldn't agree more!

“Hidden Gem”
Reviewed March 31, 2013 via mobile

When we drove there with our friends from Chacras, we didn't know what to expect. We enjoyed it so much we returned later in the trip for a second visit. The winery tour was straightforward, and Augustin did a great job of keeping everyone's attention and adding humor along the way. The food was also straightforward, the wines were honest and enjoyable. Te waitstaff attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. The only suggestion I would make is to make more use of the fresh herbs in their dishes. The atmosphere is wonderful, all in all a good solid restaurant in Chacras de Coria, great for a late lunch.

The food is excellent and some of the best Malbecs that we had on our trip.It was a quick bike ride from our hotel. Best of all we did our tasting with our lunch.
