“Like coming home”
Reviewed March 12, 2012

There are many reasons this place is special and unique. There is a feeling that you have entered another time- one of warmth, romance, secluded green gardens and even tango. You can tell that the casa is one created by an artist, and improved by the current owners. Coming here felt like coming home.Special thanks to Julia and Nicolas por helping us with such charm and graciousness and Santiago for some of the best food we ever had. And of course, our favorite part- Sergio, Giovanna, Julieta – our rediscovered family! We will always remember Casa Margot and drink the wine!

To every one here at Casa Margot, especially Nicolas, Leila, Santiago, Romina, Laura:
Casa Margot has been our exotic and glamorous home now for six days, and it's been so much fun! Breakfast with Nicolas, dinner with Leila and Santiago, one night entertained by trapeze artist Natalie... delicious food and wine in the most beautiful of settings. Thanks, too, for arranging our cooking class here with Santiago. Not only did we learn to make so many Argentine dishes, but I finally learned to make aioli with a whisk, and had the most fun being taught by Santiago. Thanks, Nicolas, for my Argentine Tango lesson with the talented instructor that you found who came here to Casa Margot. And "the boys" and Marcia were so happy with the rafting trip you arranged. You simply do not fail your guests. We will always have a place for you in our hearts! Frances & Frank, Brandon, Mississippi - USA. PS: We loved our trip today to taste wine at the Atamisque Winery - charming place and family.”

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon and we couldn't fault it. The hotel only has 2 rooms which makes it very intimate and makes it feel like you are staying in your own private villa. The food is amazing - we had the 5 course tasting menu with matching wines which was delicious. Breakfast was lovely - croissants, toast and cereal but you could have eggs or a more substantial meal if you wanted it, we were touring the wineries which included big lunches so were trying to leave some room!

The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The rooms beautiful and exceptionally clean. Every night, the room was turned down and we were given chocolates and champagne! The location is perfect for exploring both the valleys (Lucan and the Ucco) and there are great restaurants nearby if you want to dine out.

We loved our stay at Casa Margot! The food was incredible, and the service was fantastic. The building itself is beautiful and the room extremely comfortable. Our visit could not have been more enjoyable!

A stunning and unique setting complemented by wonderfully charming and welcoming staff who will do anything to make your stay memorable and who are obviously proud to be part of the wider Margot project. An excellent setting for relaxation or exploring local vineyards, which is a must. Also offers excellent food accompanied by the delicious Casa Margot champagne. Truly captures the 'mi casa es su casa' philosophy.

What perfect start to our South American honeymoon! The small house is lovely and charming, and the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We spent two nights in each room, and both were equally fantastic--although the Celedonio Suite's private patio is a nice perk. We enjoyed a delicious dinner and wine pairing, and loved the champagne tasting! We can’t wait to come back. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Casa Margot is a very distinctive house adapted to be a very small, boutique hotel with just 2 bedrooms. It is located in a residential street in a Mendoza suburb. It is not in, or even near a vineyard and any links to the hotel owner's wines are fairly tenuous as their estate is 2 hours away.

So, as long as you know what you're getting, Casa Margot is remarkable - may be even unique in the world. The hotel becomes your own house with the amazing staff ready to do what ever it takes to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable. Remember, 100% occupancy results in a total of 4 guests! The resulting intimacy may, or may not be, to you liking. It took us a day to settle in, then we began to appreciate what a special place Casa Margot is.

Our host prepared a great five course meal, complete with wine paring, just for ourselves. Remarkable!

The swimming pool was out of service during our stay, which was disappointing.

For a truly unique experience it's worth a try!
