My wife and I went here on our recent anniversary trip. First, we went here on a weeknight. It was almost empty, but we were glad we went at that time. We went back by on the weekend (because the Sangria was just THAT good - I like it sweet) and it was much more crowded and a lot louder flare in the restaurant as the owner was playing guitar. That wouldn't have been our style or desire for our time there. If you're staying in the area, this is a great place to go to dinner. They have some favorite dishes noted on the menu, and as long as you like those general meats, you can't go wrong! (Pork Tenderloin, Skirt Steak, Chicken)
It is more of a local place than a romantic or high-end place, so you might be nervous walking in on a weeknight. However, the owner will most likely come talk to you, and you will feel very welcome at this place. The weekend was much busier and you will feel like you are experiencing the true sense of Puerto Rico if you go then.
