We have eaten dinner here repeatedly through a number of visits to San Juan. The food has always been very good, but we particularly like the warmth of the place and the friendly, professional staff. The pricing is reasonable compared to other nearby resorts.

Most recently, we ate at the bar. We had the antipasti, which was too huge for the two of us. All meats and cheese, just like in Italy. They willingly wrapped the leftovers for us beautifully. We ordered the seafood risotto to share and instead of bringing it in one dish for us to divide ourselves, they actually served us in two bowls. It was excellent, lots of seafood, and more than I could eat. No sharing charge. The house white wine was very good.

My husband and I ate here this evening. The ensalata Mixte was very good. I loved the Gnocchetti was delicious and he loved the spaghetti alla primavera. The service was really great until the dessert. We waited at least 15 minutes. The dessert was free because of the wait. It was an expensive but very good meal.

We only ate here for breakfast everyday we stayed at the Intercontinental because it was supposedly included in the package we booked through Orbitz (but that is a whole different review). Anyway.... the food here is bland and while we presented is definitely not worth even a third of what they charge for it (approx $28 per person when we went). The staff was very nice and friendly and we enjoyed feeding the birds that sit right next to you on the railing (the staff frowns on this) but the food was so disappointing that it completely took away from the experience. Do yourself a favor and walk across the street to any of the small food stores or fast food places and save get something to eat that actually has some flavor.

Great romantic scene, fresh made pasta and excellent customer care, the waitress made the experience unique. I ask for a Champagne bottle and, as they didn't have that one available they offer me an upgrade at no extra cost, just amazing experience.
