I felt completely whatever about the monkeys, but after we took a few pictures of them, we got to snorkel around a nearby shipwreck, and that was AMAZING! The fish were beautiful and interesting, Bob was really knowledgeable, and I got some great photos!

What a great excursion !!! We kayaked out to Monkey Island and saw hundreds of monkeys scrambling around on the rocks, jumping from tree to tree, and we even saw one little one swimming along the shore. Keishya was our guide and she was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and made sure to make the trip whatever we wanted it to be. We also snorkeled around a shipwreck and she pointed out some cool tube worms and puffer fish. It was not too strenuous and we kept a nice relaxing pace all morning. I wholeheartedly recommend this to people of all ages !

And the main attractions -- the monkeys!!! -- are pretty cool too. Bob was our guide, and he was cool, fun and flexible. The other couple who were supposed to meet us at the launch spot got lost and ran very late, and we needed to get back a little early, but the tour still felt very relaxed and not rushed, and we got to see lots of monkeys (the little babies riding piggyback are really cute!) and even had time to go snorkeling by a sunken barge. Fantastic way to spend a morning!

We did see a ton of monkeys on the island from just a few meters away. Bob took great care of our family of six, he and Keishya were great to work with. Perfect directions from Dorado on great roads, we were there in less than an hour even in July 4 th traffic.
After a quick lesson on effective paddling we launched into the ocean for the 20 minute kayak trip to the west side of Monkey island. We saw a few monkeys as we approached the shore but watched the pelicans dive bomb the water for fish as we stood just off shore. After watching a few monkeys grab some food about 100 feet away we put on the snorkels to dive around the sunken barge and were amazed at all the different fish.
Everybody was enjoying the Nemo family reunion when Bob emerged from the water having pusuaded a puffer fish and his friend over in our direction. (No fish were harmed or inconvenienced in the experience of this review). We must have snorkeled for 45-50 minutes with no pressure to move on at all. When we were ready to move on Bob took us around the point of the island to see some of the younger monkeys in trees. It was very quiet and peaceful, really really enjoyable. The whole trip from shore to shore was about 3-3:30 hours and it was a fantastic experience.
