“Oldie but a goodie”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2012

This property is quite old but extremely well maintained. Comfortable rooms - ours was actually two adjoining rooms with double beds and a fold down bed if required. The door way between the adjoining rooms was open.
The bathroom area is quite compact but serves its purpose. The owner, Carole, speaks good english and was most helpful in giving advice on sight seeing.
There is no microwave in the room but one is available in the office area if you wish to heat food. There is also no water heating facility for that morning cup of coffee/tea. The advertised american breakfast was not available but I believe will be so from the 15th June.
You need a car to stay at this property - there are restaurants about 3 min away (try the Les Artiste - see separate review)
It is only about 20 min to downtown Quebec and an easy ride in
Beds were lovely and comfy as were the pillows. High quality sheets and bedding made for a very comfortable nights rest.
It is near a main road but did not get any road noise at night. All in all a nice place to stay

Room Tip: All are ground floor and pretty similar

My husband and I spent four nights at the Motel Spring. The staff easily recommended places to see that are in the area, and even booked a tour in Old Quebec for us. It is very close to Basilique de St. Anne de Beaupre, and many other beautiful churches, which I am very interested in. The breakfast that is included in the price of the room is delicious and a large portion is given. I will definitely recommend this Motel to everyone. The room is small, but it is very clean and neat. For someone like me who is on vacation to see the sights not sit a room all day, it is perfect. I will be returning to Motel Spring when I return to Quebec.

We enjoyed our stay at Motel Spring very much. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and made us feel welcomed.
The food was great and the room gave us all we needed for a good night sleep.
Also, the grounds are beautiful with a pond and flowers and a fountain. Also, relaxed on the swings.
We would definitely recommend this family business to everyone. The location is near to many of the attractions such as Morency Falls, Isle of Orleans and Ste Anne Shrine and Quebec City and Charlevoix.

The lady at the front desk was efficient and very helpful with information about local events. The room was no-frills but was very clean and seemed freshly refurbished. The breakfast was included in the price and the service was friendly. Excellent location on Hwy 138 on the outskirts of Quebec City, near Mont Ste-Anne and halfway to Tadoussac. Though at nearly $100 a night including taxes, I felt it was a bit steep. But overall, I would recommend it if you are looking for a clean, convenient, friendly place to stay.

If you drive towards the Motel Spring, you first of all see that it is located directly next to an express way where lots of cars and trucks drive on. But then you get to the Reception and you are welcomed by nearly the whole family that helds the Motel. They are very friendly, have lost of information and always try to do their best for the guests. Prices for this Motel are very interesting, normally including breakfast (not in winter). Rooms are clean but a bit old, the location is interesting or not depending on what you want to see and if you have a car or not. The Motel is situated just between the City of Quebec and the mountain where you can go skiing (Mont St. Anne). But as I said it is important to have a car with you, otherwise you won't come far.

We stayed there for 3nights although at first we booked only for 2. The rooms were very clean with room service every single day - we had to ask! not to change towels and linen every day - wow! The staff were extremely friendly, very helpful and knowledgeable about what to see in the area (you are automatically given a map of the village with its close surroundings) or where to go in Quebec City. The price included a free wi-fi (very reliable) and a tasty breakfast (though a bit small:-)).
The motel is a family run business, which feels very personal and comfortable.
