This was a last minute booking for our trip to the Nethybridge Hotel & I'm glad we got a room. Our room was big enough for two adults and 2 large dogs. Only (slight) issue was small bathroom, however it was adequate & bath filled up quickly after a long walk! Previous message states old TVs, this is true but I do not go on holiday to watch TV! As ever, the room was clean, bed comfy and facilities great. Value of stay is fabulous with great choice at dinner with a vegetarian option. Breakfast has huge variety to suit all tastes; full cooked, toast, rolls, croissants, fruit, yoghurt, cereal.....staff are wonderful and attentive and nothing is too much bother for them. Kay & Javier were particularly helpful/attentive. On this trip we got a free bottle of wine with dinner & free tickets on Steam Railway which was amazing value - saving of £40!
Would have been good if bar was open between 2-5pm for both food & drinks. Robert the manager was as attentive as ever and a pleasure to deal with. I can't wait until I have time to go back.

Have just returned from a week here with my wife. From the outside the hotel looks very impressive with lovely grounds, great views and ample parking. The reception area is very welcoming, with leather armchairs, roaring log fire and a pleasant ambience. The residents lounge is a gem from a bygone age, with ample comfortable seating and tables and an open fire. The dining room is large and airy with linen tablecloths and a nice atmosphere. The staff are friendly and helpful. The manager is extremely friendly and gregarious. The 3 course dinner menu is traditional but unexciting.

Our twin room was adequate size with a great view and a large bathroom. The TV was ancient, and the picture wasn`t that good. The decor was very dated, and was more 1 star than 3 star. If our room was a representative reflection of the remainder of the bedrooms in the hotel, I think an AA 3 Star rating is very over generous. There was a musty unpleasant odour in the corridors and stairways.

Like many British country hotels, it would benefit significantly from a long overdue substantial refurbishment which would maximise on it`s excellent location in this beautiful part of Scotland.

I stayed in the Nethy Bridge hotel over the May day weekend (3rd May to 6th May 2013) with a group of BMW motorcyclists (130) and I have to say we had a great experience overall, we arrived after riding over two hundered miles in heavy rain and had a very warm reception before going to our rooms to dry off and shower, and guess what? we had endless hot water. The dining room was completely taken over by our group and the service was both fast end efficient, the management laid on some entertainment on both Friday and Sunday night with a six course Highland banquet and they even piped in the beef which got a raptorous applause from us all. The hotel is one of those places that has been spectacualar in it's day but it has retained something of it's former glory both via it's atmosphere and the warm welcome and attitude of the staff. The breakfast was huge each day and set us all up for a day on the road and you know what thay say about repeat business being good business, well we will be back again next year.

Room Tip: I stayed in room 224 and it was huge and both warm and clean.

My Wife and I, in our capacity as Treasurer & Secretary of the British Korean Veterans Association chose the Nethybridge Hotel for the second Year running to hold our Annual 'Spring Break'. We as a party of 25 could not fault the hospitality extended to us coupled with the excellent organisation and entertainment provided which made the weekend such a resounding success. Two days is not long enough to enjoy the Hotel’s facilities and the stunning surrounding countryside. Furthermore, the cuisine is of the highest standard considering the price and value for money and we all congratulate the Chef and his team for the excellent fayre, plus the waiting staff for their attention to detail and courteousness

Room pleasant and clean. Shower grouting could be brightened. TV is dated but adequate. Breakfast very good and plentiful.....mmmm the black pudding. All staff were friendly and helpful. Locals made the public bar lively. I really enjoyed my stay here. Sure the hotel needs a wee bit of a facelift but the character of the public rooms with open fires etc and the welcoming feeling throughout has made a return visit essential. I'll take my wife next time :-). Before I booked I was a bit apprehensive after reading some reviews here. I cannot for the life of me see the reasons for a poor review.. Oh well, it takes all sorts. Prices are very reasonable too and a great base from which to explore Speyside

Although the Nethy Bridge Hotel is in despaerate need of some TLC it makes up for this with its character and atmosphere. Robert and his team do a wonderful job of making you feel welcome, the open fires in the reception rooms are inviting and the location cannot be faulted.
We visited with friends, joining a big group for 3 nights over the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the hospitality. However there needs to be a much greater emphasis on the standard of cleanliness in the rooms and some of the fixtures and fittings are in need of some urgent attention, especially the hot water supply.
For breakfast there was plenty of choice and evening meals were of a good standard, everything hot and all served in a pleasant manner.
All in all the hotel fitted all our needs and at a budget but has the potential to be much improved with a little effort and financial investment.

Stayed as part of a large group first impression is of a tired building. On booking in there was a welcoming fire and the staff were friendly helpful and pleasant. On checking the room it was a bit tight for a twin but everything was clean and tidy not everything is perfect but its not the most expensive hotel in the world. We had 3 course meal each evening and found the food to be of good quality nothing particularly outstanding hot and tasty with a good selection. Between this and breakfast I found the bed to be comfortable and the room was warm. In the morning there was also a good selection of cereals fruit breads and cooked items.
Good hotel on a budget the manager Robert is a hoot and certainly adds to the character.

Room Tip: Front facing room is best
