We decided to go to see the Red Kites in the RSPB centre. The turnoff from the main road (A835) is signposted. According to the website description you eventually turn left up a track. Yes it is a real track! You can't rush it. Eventually you arrive at the centre. Inside there are activities for children, benches to wait on and descriptions of the Red Kite. It is important to check on the feeding time- this is when you can see the Kites - times vary from Summer to Winter.
We were fortunate to see 2 kites , buzzards and of course the inevitable seagulls that came for a soft touch meal. Some days there are more - other days less - according the person who came to put out the food.
Although not avid birdwatchers we did enjoy the experience of watching these madnificent birds
