Every time i go swimming the toilets are really smelly and often covered in excrement, The staff do clean it when you ask but you shouldnt have to, i go to cowdenbeath now instead as its always immaculate.

good pool with an excellent shallow area for young kids. Slide and wall toys are good fun. Bigger slides are great for the older kids although the steps up to them can be quite slippy and the tower you go up is pretty cold. Waves are fantastic fun and their inflatible session is excellent and well monitored.
The cafe is basic but just what you need, it is far too hot in the cafe though when the pool is much cooler.

Regularly take the children here, whether it be quiet midweek mornings, or manic Saturday afternoons, with flumes and waves etc.
Kids love it, and there is usually plenty to keep them occupied. The flumes allow youngsters, unlike Perth, and the waves create fun for even the smallest ones in the safety of the children's area.
In terms of wildlife, The Beacon is a great place to see a sea of tattoos with all manner of odd children's names displayed across the clientele. Overly challenged Lycra is also a common site.
The food in the cafe is to be avoided at all costs. The food in the pool cafe when I was a lad in the unhealthy 1970's was far superior, healthier, fresher, cheaper etc. it is a typical Ouncil run eatery, which says it all.
Great pool though! Lovely to see the beach from the pool, and when the sun streams in, it's delightful.
