Very relaxing spa break. Friendly staff, terrific service and food for dinner and breakfast. Good selection of tea and coffee with shortbread in room however disappointed bathrobes and slippers not provided and variety of toiletries in short supply.

Just returned from a great weekend with friends at Thainstone House Hotel. Great food, great staff (especially Louise) and great value. Spa treatments were really good. Bedroom was well equipped and beds were very comfortable. Will definitely be back!

8 of us women booked a Friday and Sat all inclusive Spa break.
The experience is worth
Recommending. Our friends rooms had been recently been refurbished, however our room in the older part of the building was a bit tired, but very clean.
( staff informed us the place is being refurbished in stages.) The food was more than excellent !! The staff were very friendly.. One staff member in the restaurant Louise was particularly helpful.. She was friendly, and very informed about the food. She also organised a lovely surprise for us on our second night there! Which made our stay there even more enjoyable. She is an asset to Thainstone House!! The spa treatments were enjoyed by all! We are all planning a second visit.

Lovely building and very friendly staff , hotel was clean and the groundfloor was very smart . The grand hall and the dining rooms were lovely as were the smaller lounges. The whole break was well organised. The food was really quite exceptional for a hotel which was not at all expensive the food was 'fine dining' . It would be hard to fault the food and entertainment. the rooms was a bit tired and the leisure facilities although adequate could use a freshen up but in general exceptional value and a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Our room was not in the upgraded part and im not sure which ones were but some guests had big modern...

An extended family group of us stayed overnight for a surprise party. The hotel is a stunning old country house set in attractive grounds but it is two miles from the town centre. The staff were friendly and helpful, tolerating two toddlers in the extensive communal areas. It suited us perfectly, enabling an informal tea time family meal without the formality of sitting in the restaurant. Meals and drinks were reasonably priced, good value for this type of hotel.
Unfortunately the swimming pool was being refurbished which ruled out our planned entertainment for the youngsters. It's a pity we had not been made aware of this at the time of booking.
