Description: Porterhouse Steakhouse & Coffee Bar is part of ANM Group - one of Scotland’s most active and influential farmer-owned co-operative societies - based at Thainstone Centre, Inverurie, Aberdeenshire. The North-East corner of Scotland is home to some of the best farmland - producing livestock famed the world over. We are immensely proud of our farming heritage and the quality and exceptional flavour of our meat - endorsed by the Scottish Beef Club and Quality Meat Scotland. We are passionate about field to fork; from the dedication of our regional farmers - rearing quality livestock - to ensuring meat is matured and cooked to perfection for every single plate we serve to our valued customers. Situated at one of the largest livestock auction centres in Europe, we opened our restaurant and named it Porterhouse after the world-famous cut of steak. From our base at Thainstone Centre we are in the heart of Aberdeenshire, right on the doorstep of the famous malt whisky trail and castle tours and within close proximity of Royal Deeside. Dine at our award-winning restaurant and enjoy a first-class 'Porterhouse experience' in our warm and welcoming surroundings. Our seasonal menu is specially-selected by our head chef, Victor Garcia, and served with a selection of local wines, beers and spirits.

We went to the Porterhouse for a family meal. Very welcoming, staff were polite and extra attentive. Came at the right times to take orders, serve drinks, serve food and clear i.e we were not rushed or over monitored whilst eating! (nor were we left waiting between courses). Staff are mostly young and seem to have been trained well. The food itself was worth the money and I felt there was enough on offer re - the menu. Much better to offer a medium sized menu executing the food to perfection (which is what they do) than try to offer too much at a lower quality. Will go back that's for sure!

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our food at Porterhouse, it was undercooked and not very well presented. Service was reasonable. Will not be going back again

The staff are all very young, they know what to do and they try hard but their execution is charmingly unpolished. It reminded me of a restaurant I once went to that was actually a catering school. Although it's not yet the art form that you'd get in (most) Michelin starred restaurants, they're actually doing all the right things. Another thing I like is they don't ask you whether you want expensive bottled water, they just bring jugs and don't charge for them. The decor is also good - calm and elegant so that you can focus on the food. Compared to other places I've been recently with similar menus, the value is excellent.

We went here on way home from the theatre in Aberdeen. The staff were very welcoming, the young waiter gave excellent service. The menu was not extensive, but offered us all something different to eat. The food was lovely, I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We had not booked, but I think we were lucky to get a table because as we ate it became very busy.

Lovely meal last weekend. Steaks are huge so if you dont have a big appetitie dont have a starter. The mens steaks were overcooked for their liking. Not a great selection of sweets but to be honest portion sizes for the mains were enough for most of us. Attentive & friendly service

I would suggest that they play some soft music in the background, we were the first in the restaurant and it was quite quiet.

Dont be put off by the location (or, according to my niece 'the disgusting country smell' - she is a city girl) its a lovely place and value for money.
