We loved staying at Brooks View and only wish it was for longer! The service was top notch and the cottage had everything you would need for self catering. My only recommendation would be to put one of those mini fans above the fire that distribute the heat. We look forward to staying there again soon!
This was a perfect cosy cottage for a relaxed get-away. It was close enough to Bath for all that city has to offer, yet far enough away for blissful tranquillity. The place is well equipped with bedding, firewood and kitchen equipment and there's even a decanter of sherry to greet you on arrival. Just the job.
Brooks View Cottage is charming, romantic and is the most perfect getaway in the English countryside, ideal for country walks, bird watching, relaxing and even fly-fishing. Our favourite parts were the traditional wood burning stove, BBQ, elegant Victoria roll top clawed bath and luxury king sized bed. Ann & Michael are the perfect hosts and the cottage has an incredibly interesting history. Everything you could possibly need for your luxurious country retreat is supplied and the cottage is only a 10 minute drive from beautiful Bath, yet leaves you feeling as if you are in the middle of the countryside far from any city - its incredible! Wi-Fi, Private parking, TV, toiletries, cleaning products, kitchen equipment, iPod dock, linen, towels - everything is included for you! Brook's View is the epitome of quiet, country relaxation. The only noises we heard were the chirping of birds and the sound of water rushing through the brook at the end of the garden, I could have happily spent weeks here. If you go to Bath - stay at Brook's View or one of the tucking mill cottages - you will not regret it!!!! :)
We loved our stay at Brooks View at the end of October.
The cottage was cosy and the extras that were waiting for us when we arrived were much appreciated.
We just wish we could have stayed for longer!
Lovely little cottage only 10 mins from bath yet in a beautiful countryside setting. Very clean and well kept. Ideal for two people. Slightly pricey at over £100 a night but not really for the area. Definitely worth a visit. Lots of walks locally and lovely views. Garden out the front of the house not the back.
Had a Superb 2 day short Break here.
Wonderful scenery, very well equipped cottage.
Good information available on local area, Highly Recommended.
Very quiet & secluded, great place to get away from everything &
recharge your batteries.
What a lovely little cottage, cosy, warm and spotless. Had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. the garden and surroundings were so picturesque. We spent ages photographing the birds ( some we'd never seen before) who visited the bird table just outside the cottage. The summerhouse was a great place to sit and watch the river, at the bottom of the garden, so peaceful. Just a short drive to the hustle and bustle of Bath. Definitely recommend it for a quiet & peaceful getaway.
