I popped in here on a Tuesday around 415pm for a quick bite to eat with my Son (2 years old). The place was quiet, but to be expected as it was early. I must say though that the service was excellent. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. My Son was given a little colouring sheet and crayons to keep him busy. The staff were smiley and pleasant towards my Son and nothing seemed too much trouble. The food was okay. I had a chicken club sandwich, which was delicious. The chips however were a little greasy, but I still ate them. My Son had a kids meal. Nothing major and as expected for a kids meal. The service made up for the food anyway.

Have used this pub on lots of occasions always with the family. Last night we were booked for 6 pm 3 adults 3 children we had 6 meals 3 childrens puddings and 3 liquer coffee The service was very slow. At 7.30 we had almost finished our coffees and we were asked how much longer we would be as they had another booking for this table, or we could vacate to another table. We were not very pleased and it tinged a very enjoyable day. But when we went to pay in the main hub of the pub there were unoccupied tables maybe not sixes we didn't stop to find out.

Stayed for one night 13/7 Average accommodation, room was clean, nice comfy bed. bathroom had a bath with over bath shower and nice fluffy towels provided. Tea & coffee facilities were also provided. It was incredibly hot over night in the room and we could have done with a fan as it was difficult to get much air into the room because of the design of the windows so consider taking one if the weather is hot. We had a nice lunch just after arriving, staff were pleasant. It would have been nice if there was an option for breakfast but they don't serve breakfast. There is a large car park so no worries about parking. Would stay again in the future!

We last visited here in 2006 but whilst in Bridgnorth again we decided to eat here once more. I have no recollection of the previous visit but this was midweek and not too busy. There is a two for one offer and we somewhat ambitiously decided to also have a starter. It was not really necessary but the menu was enticing.

The food was excellent as was the service. The two for one offer is an added attraction and whilst there was a bit of a wait between courses, this is only a problem if you are not with good company or in a hurry.

Lovely big ensuite room & a comfy bed. Pity there's no breakfast but, a really good cafe on the bridge "Olives", just up the st. Great big car park & they need it for all the people that eat there, good food too. We had a weekend there, nice staff. Room was on the 1st floor at the front with a big TV, a bit noisy in the morning with traffic. We thought it might be a long way from top town but, it wasn't just a short walk then the cliff railway. Lots of pubs nearby anyway & very cheap beer & shorts a lot cheaper than Wetherspoons.Did the museum, market, old town hall & The Severn Valley Railway all free! Would definately stay there again, we've stayed in a lot worse for a lot more money!

Room Tip: Rooms at the back should be less noisy for early morning traffic
