“Great weekend break”
Reviewed February 10, 2013

Really enjoyed our stay at the b&b, Tracey and Steve were the perfect hosts and couldn't accommodate us any better. The breakfast started at 10 (at our request) which we were a little late for on both mornings, but they didn't mind at all. The breakfast was excellent and filled us up for most of the day. They gave us contact numbers so if there was anything we needed we could ask for it and left us to do our own thing the rest of the time. They were also kind enough to let us check out late as no one were due to have the room the next night. The location is also great, situated between high town and low town, so is easy to get where you want to go. Would highly recommend staying here to anyone and we are thinking of returning in the summer when the weathers a little brighter :). Thanks again! Matt and Danielle

Okay...it is hard to find, especially if you are in your car. That aside...what a unique little gem it is. Some parts are a bit tatty, but kept clean. parking permits were available, and used, but still a bit of a walk with luggage and rain!!

The welcome is what makes it...and the quality of the food...nothing seemed too much trouble. I was able to relax after a very hard days' work, and enjoy great food at reasonable cost

Thank you for taking the time to write such a positive review. I'm pleased to read that overall you had a pleasant stay with us.

I notice that you described parts of the Guest House as ' Tatty ' I am wondering which bits you meant?

The house is 120 years old and a Grade 2 listed building. We are not allowed to replace original windows or doors and are very limited as to what internal alterations we can make.
Therefore we make the best out of what we have inherited. We prefer to call our style 'Rustic' and 'Shabby chic'.

Just thought I had better mention it in case people reading this may think we don't care about our decor or furnishings when in fact it's quite the opposite.

Thanks again for your kind review

Regards Tracy

Been meaning to write this for quite a while... we stayed with Tracey and Steve back in May - and couldn't fault the B & B at all. They both made us feel so welcome and at home. We had one of the rooms without a bathroom but was not an issue at all as the shower and loo were almost next to our room.

They even left some chocs and a bottle of red in our room as it was my hubby's birthday - lovely touch.

We are thinking of moving to Bridgenorth in the near future so will hopefully meet again!

Thanks for a lovely stay!

Jenny and Fenton Farthing,

Room Tip: Ensure you let Tracey know if you want an en suite room as they aren't always available.

All you really need to know about this hotel is that Tracy and Steve will make you feel like part of the family without intruding on your stay.
They truly have a gift for making guests feel welcome.
We stayed in room 3 for 3 nights with breakfast (which is fantastic).
Room 3 is large and has a really comfortable king sized bed and a single bed, large bathroom and a large shower room with a powerful hot shower.
Perfectly situated for Bridgnorth and surrounding towns. Tracy has a great local knowledge to guide you to restaurants, pubs etc.
We would definitely stay again and cannot recommend the B&B highly enough.

Thanks for our weekend in Bridgnorth. We really had a good time and loved staying Saturday night in your B and B. It was such fun.

It was also a good location, a decent price, clean, full of interesting things and helpful attention to detail. There was also a great selection of lovely fresh fruit for breakfast. (David is on a gluten-free diet and normally finds breakfast stressful and difficult in B and Bs, but he was as happy as Larry with his fruit and yoghourt.)

We are busy telling all our friends and family about our stay and are looking forward to reading the article in Countryfile or watching the programme on telly.

We know where to stay if we come back to Bridgnorth!
