Ash Lodge is in a very quiet location but there is plenty to do and see in the surrounding area. Bridgnorth is 15 mins by car and Ludlow approx 20 miles away (both worth a visit). Eating out means getting in the car but, again, there are plenty of eateries and pubs to choose from within a 15 min drive. We chose to do all our own cooking and just enjoy the lodge which was very clean had all the required facilities inc. a hot tub which we made full use of. Ideal if you just want to relax for a few days. Definitely worth another visit.
Wow, was what I said when I walked into this lovely lodge, it was very stylish and had everything we could ever need. Phil and Rosie ( his dog) made us very welcome. The surrounding area was brilliant to explore throughout the week we where there and then back to the hot tub. We will definitely be booking again.
Beautiful lodge amid amazing countryside. The extra perk of a hot tub is an absolute delight! Close enough to the market towns of Ludlow, Bewdley and Bridgnorth (all worth a day out), yet remote enough to enjoy total peace and quiet. Perfect for a relaxing/romantic break. We did not want to leave!
Great relaxing break away. All you need to take is your swim wear!!! Everything is provided for you. Beautiful scenery and loved waking up to the sound of the birds singing.
What a beautiful place and so relaxing. We were made to feel extremely welcome from the minute we arrived with a letter and bottle of bubbly. The lodge itself is beautiful with a relaxing feel inside and out. We were lucky enough to meet the owners, Phil and Sue who were really nice and incredibly helpful. I can't wait to go back in October for another weekend.
Peaceful away from it all location, newly built luxury lodges. Our one bedroom lodge had a beautiful bathroom with large shower and stand alone bath. The kitchen had all the facilities you could wish for and furnishings were of a high standard. Very large outdoor terrace with table/chairs, sunloungers, and soft seating and the ultimate luxury of your very own hot tub. Plenty of pubs in the area if you don't fancy cooking and lots to see and do in Shropshire and the surrounding areas. To achieve sheer perfection for me would just need to add some blackout blinds/curtains in the bedroom for those light summer mornings and a barbeque to fully enjoy the terrace as we watched with envy the neighbouring lodge enjoying theirs!! Would return without hesitation and are already looking at dates for next year.
My husband and I had a little get away for our 3rd wedding anniversary. We had the most amazing time, away from the world and didn't leave the lodge for a whole 2 days! The lodge was immaculate, and absolutely stunning. Phil and Sue's attention to detail is spot on, we needed for nothing. The hot tub was an obvious bonus we loved spending our evenings in there with our complimentary bottle of prosecco taking in the peacefulness and watching shooting stars. It really was the most perfect get away and we can't thank Phil and Sue enough for making it that way for us.
