experience, hot tub checked daily. The location was tranquil with lots of bird life
all in all a very pleasant stay thanks a million.
Just got back from a 3 night stay at elm lodge. Time away was to relax and switch off from busy day to day Life. Elm lodge provided us with exactly everything we needed for relaxing.
Area &a surroundings 10/10
Would definitely return!
What a fantastic few days in this wonderful place. The lodge is spotlessly clean and equipped to a very high standard, everything you need to enjoy a relaxing time in very peaceful surroundings. Stunning countryside all around, which you can enjoy while soaking in the lovely hot tub. We loved the layout of the lodge, all open plan and very light and airy with the large patio doors opening out onto spacious decking from both lounge and master bedroom. We didn't want to return home and will definatly be booking another stay.
Just came back from our little family break and elm lodge was exactly what we needed. On arrival we were welcomed with a welcome pack and a bottle of prosecco (which went down nicely next to the jacuzzi).
The lodge is beautiful and very well kept the kids loved the Nintendo wii and my oldest son aged 7 loved that there were binoculars so he could look for the different types of birds in the trees and that landed on the bird feeder on the patio. We even got to see a woodpecker.
The lodge is set between other lodges but it's so peaceful as you look out the jacuzzi into the trees you think you are in your own little world. Phil and Sue who own the lodge contacted me on arrival to check all was ok and was very informative of the local area.
I couldn't of asked for more and we will definitely be back soon.
Thanks again Phil and Sue
We loved our stay at elm lodge. The lodge is stunning. It is modern, spacious, spotlessly clean, and had everything we could possibly have needed. It is a beautiful lodge inside and out, with a huge decking and hot tub. We received a lovely bottle of Prosecco to welcome us. There are welcome packs giving information about how to use everything in the lodge and about the surrounding areas, including places to eat (the menus are even included in the pack). The lodge provides board games, dvds, a wii, aswell as all of the essentials and more! We enjoyed the setting in the countryside. It was very peaceful, and we enjoyed watching the birds feeding from the bird feeders on the decking. Bridgnorth is a short drive from the lodge, and is a lovely little town.
This was an ideal break to get away from it all, at a very reasonable price. We will definitely return!
the location was amazing the hot tub great people friendly. the steam railway not to miss. lots of places to eat at very good prices in the area.
We stayed at Elm Lodge for a Easter Family holiday with our daughter who is five
We loved every minute. The lodge is really well equipped. We wanted for nothing.
The hot tub was amazing and while not fully private, we were never disturbed. We felt it was a little cool on arrival and asked for the temperature to be increased, which was done without any hassle. We meet Phil a couple of times and he spent a good amount of time chatting, very easy to get on with and accommodating. There is some light construction happening on the other lodges, aside from some occasional drilling we didn't hear anything and it doesn't disturb the view from the lodge.
The lodge is really well situated. The lodges over looks the tree canopy in the near by woods and the sunsets were amazing. It really catches the sun at the end of the day.
Other notes. The wifi is very poor, sometimes too slow to open even basic webpages although it did improve at times. However we did have good mobile reception so we just used that instead for planning. Not the owners fault, it's a shared connection I believe. Really good water pressure. It has a washer drier which is really useful and a dishwasher.
There is lots to do in the local area. We enjoyed going out for a run in the beautiful local countryside, including down to the local ford. The steam train through the Severn Valley is nearby and I would thoroughly recommend. Also, it is a short drive to the Ship, which does excellent and good value food and enjoyed views over the Severn.
We booked direct with Phil and Sue and enjoyed really good communication, all queries answered promptly before and during our stay.
I hope we get to visit again in the future. Recommended.
