Had an excellent supper in this welcoming country pub. The portions were HUGE, freshly cooked and the seasonal vegetables were delicious. This establishment deserves to do well.

At the Eagles Head my wife and I were served with an excellent meal at a very reasonable price. Due to it's local popularity, it was at a very busy time of the evening, but our meals were still served promptly, were both piping hot, and very appettisingly presented.
This place runs like clockwork due to the extreme diligence of the delightful couple who run it and their excellent team.
Do not be put off because the outside frontage needs a bit of a facelift, there will be a very warm welcome inside.

You'll be disappointed if come here expecting cordon bleu gastro-pub cuisine and stylish surroundings replete with designer furniture and scrubbed wooden floor boards. You're bound to be impressed if you visit expecting friendly service and generous helpings of home cooked ,unpretentious pub grub. There's also a decent selection of real ales. We visited on a Sunday evening and the place was packed; it's obvious that the owners know how to keep their customers happy.
