We visited the newly refurbished Farmers Arms this evening, and I must say a much improved experience compared to the last time we visited when we had a Sunday Lunch and asked for a couple more roast potatoes and the chef nearly had a heart attack and left. The food was nice. I had the Caesar Salad (you have to pay £2.00 extra for the chicken!!) and my partner had a barbecued chicken bacon and cheese burger. My partner wanted a normal burger but was told their was none left...even though it states on the menu they are 'handmade' burgers. Just got us thinking why couldn't they have 'made' a burger!! Generally the feel of the place is much more positive, and the decor including the outside area has been upgraded. I would comment though that if you were to sit on the wicker chairs outside and buy a large round you've got absolutely no chance of putting your drinks on the tables without the whole lot falling off. The tables need tops on them. Generally we would visit again and it is much better than what it was. Staff were genuinely interested in giving good customer service.
