Very warm welcome, fabulous breakfast done just as I like - crispy bacon as requested!!! Rooms very comfortable and warm in a cold snap!!! Would definitely recommend to others! Margaret is so friendly and can help out with directions to a place to eat if needed!

On a country road, very near Martin Mere. Nice quiet B&B. Tastefully decorated in country cottage theme. Room was light and airy. Bathroom warm. All very clean. Breakfast include a choice of cereals, orange juice, and I had the full English, with toast. The orange juice, bacon and sausage were good quality grub, not your cheap stuff. You could taste the difference. Lovely to wake up with the twitter of birds. Could hear a donkey braying, which if you usually live in a town, is a pleasant change. Plenty of parking space. If you want somewhere quiet, book here.

I would have no hesitation recommending this high quality B&B if you want a good nights stay with peace and quiet this is the ideal place

The room was well appointed with TV, free Wi-Fi (that worked) tea making facilities, the breakfast was cooked to order with plenty of tea & coffee. I must add the decor was very tasteful as well as spotlessly clean

The staff were friendly and helpful, I'm looking forward to returning

Room Tip: We stayed in room 1 which had a king size bed and a single bed in the room, although this room is lo...

Stayed 1 night visiting friends in the area. Rooms were very clean and cosy, with lots of nice touches in the B&B generally. We were made to feel very welcome and would go back again another time. The location is on a country road, so obviously this is likely to be of most use if you have a reason to go to the area.

Don't usually stay in B&B's, this was a very nice change to the usual chain(y) hotels. Quite personal and very nice and clean, we had 3 beds in our room and the bathroom was a good size too. But the best thing was the home cooked, using local produce, breakfast - AMAZING and much better than buffet style usually found in hotels. Would definately recommend and stay here again. Ed was so lovely, we felt like we'd know her forever!

I stayed at Brandreth Barn for just 1 night recently. I didn't have much time to organise my accomodation and wasn't too thrilled at the prices quoted from the 2 well known chain of hotels in the area. I was pleased to be able to get a room at Brandreth Barn and the price I was charged was a very reasonable £35.00 for B&B. I was a single traveller on this occasion but was allocated a twin room.
My room was perfectly acceptable with comfy bed ensuite bathroom with a bath...bliss as I hate showers, soap and bubble bath provided and lashings of piping hot water. The room also had a flat screne TV and tea/coffee making facility.
I was a little surprised by how busy the road was as Brandreth Barn is in countryside and mentioned this to 1 of the staff, however they informed me the road would quieten down by about 5 pm and they were correct as despite my room overlooking the road and I had the window open as the weather was beautiful, I slept "like a top" and never heard any road noise.
Breakfast was perfectly acceptable , altho portion control was in evidence but plenty for me and no doubt if I'd asked for more my request would have been granted. The owner and her staff were very friendly and I would have been very happy to have stayed longer than the 1 night. The only slightly odd thing is that there was nobody around when I first arrived. Keys are left on a table with a list of who has been allocated which room number. This personally didn't bother me.There is plenty of off road parking and while my room was up a flight of stairs they do cater for people who wouldn't be able to manage other than in a ground floor room. All in all a very pleasant stay and excellent value for money..
