We ate here earlier this month and were most impressed. As we are not from the area, we had found it on a website that recommends places to eat that can cater for Gluten Free. From the moment we walked in you could tell it was a place that had lots of regulars but even as strangers we were made to feel just as welcome. The set menu offers excellent value and they have a good wine list. There were plenty of choices which can be adapted for Gluten Free. The food was well presented and tasted great. We are back in the area this weekend and have booked again this time taking some friends with us.

We have just had lunch and we will definitely be returning. The customer service was probably the best I've ever had (and we have dined in some of worlds best restaurants) so personal and friendly. One of our table has trouble walking but had to park in the pub across the road, she asked if it was okay and the man said of course and offered to move her car back in the car park, she also doesn't eat dairy so they adapted the dish she wanted. The food was excellent. A big thank you to the three gentlemen front of house and the two very pleasant young waitresses.

Places like Keats are rare these days. In a world where most restaurants are part of a chain this is a small family run restaurant that's had largely the same staff for 30 years.
So they know what they are doing! Testament to this is how you notice you are surrounded by regulars almost every visit.
This visit it was just me and my wife, this is an ideal place to retreat and chat away for the kids. Although there were several large parties celebrating while we were there.
Staff are super friendly and attentive and it's one of those restaurants where the Italian owner drops by every now and then to ensure you are happy.
The menu is Italian but mostly fresh and locally sourced ingredients where possible. It's my kind of Italian, simple dishes executed well with good ingredients.
I had calamari fritti and a porterhouse steak. The steak was a bit underdone to my liking but you don't feel bad about letting them know and they cooked me a whole new one more to my liking.

A fine, old school, proper restaurant.

We adore Keats as a family and have dined maybe 30 times over 16 years. We went the day before the birth of our son and recently for his 16th birthday.

Food is always consistent and the service is amazing. Wines are excellent and not overpriced.
Would highly recommend for that special occasion or celebration.

Always left happy and full.

We entertained 26 guests for Sunday Lunch yesterday (20 October 2013). Full choice of menu - fantastic service and meal - all you come to expect from the Staff at Keats. The food was delicious and how they serve it so hot with so many eating at one time I do not know - their very high standards are not allowed to suffer.

Well do both the waiting staff and the kitchen staff for a fantastic lunch party
