“For the best carvery”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

We have enjoyed food there in the past, but not in the area for a while and ate there today.
The food was excellent and although very busy, waiting time was minimal and food piping hot and delicious.
No reduction in quality.

“No better than other cheaper alternatives”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

Average carvery in an average pub but £35 for two cokes a pint of shandy and 3 carvery lunches was over the top. Small dinner plates and somewhat restrained meat portions did not make us feel the urge to return anytime soon.

“Exceeded Expectations”
Reviewed April 10, 2013

Had family carvery meal here with a very excitable toddler. Food quality far outweighed expectations and service was really good. Very family friendly and a comprehensive menu. Cask beer served perfectly. Will be back.

“Good basic pub grub”
Reviewed April 6, 2013 via mobile

Have been here many times over the last few years and its always been fairly busy so they must be doing something right.
Part of the jw lees brewery chain
Had a burger and chips and the beer battered fish and chips the burger and fish was better than you get in the big chains and the service was good.
