Stayed for a week with 3 generations and 2 dogs, and found the property to be perfectly equipped and situated for a fantastic family holiday. We loved the decor and the children particularly liked the well in the kitchen. Cawsand & Kingsand are lovely villages, typically Cornish with quirky cottages and narrow streets, but compared with other resorts, not over busy, even at high season. Great walks in both directions along the coast, and dog friendly beach at Kingsand meant we could stay local. For a proper large sandy beach, Whitsand is 5 mins drive away and well worth the walk down (and back up). Highly recommend the Bakery’s sour dough Pizza on Monday’s (order on Sat/Sun). Also enjoyed the ferry to Plymouth with superb views on the way. Parking in the village could be tricky, but we took Janine’s advice and bought a weekly ticket for Kingsand car park.
Lovely house, beautifully decorated and with everything you need for your stay. Caws and and kingsand were lovely villages to explore and the beaches were great for swimming and the dogs. Cannot fault this property, thank you for letting us stay in your lovely home.
What a beautiful place to stay. We booked the house for a family wedding and it was in the perfect location. Step outside the front door and take in the views across the bay, sea, beach......the village has a good variety of pubs to eat in and local shops for all your needs. Parking in a nearby car park doesn't hinder your stay as you can drive along the street and unload the car before parking up and forgetting all about four wheels. Lots of places to walk, take in the sites and the wonderful fresh air. We have vowed to go back as a family group to this perfect home. Although three different families (9 people) stayed, we all had our own space and didn't feel crowded. Every need was catered for and a welcome of fresh scones, cream and jam along with a bottle of fizz was much appreciated.
