Splendid views from the balcony, good bed and shower, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Bathroom a bit dated but not a big issue considering the very reasonable price. Noices from the corridor and neighbour rooms might disturbe. The hotel restaurant was closed but there are restaurants and bars within walking distance. We had no problems to find a parking on the street in front of the hotel. We really loved the area of Mar Menor in the quiet low season.

We stayed here for a few days in September and the place was great. The location was fantastic with a beautiful view of the sea. The reception staff was very helpful. One of the best things about the stay was breakfast. Simply delicious. The bathroom wasn't in the best condition but for a price like that you wouldn't find anything better. 2 minute walk to the shops and restaurants and 5 min walk to the market. Overall it was a great getaway.

Room Tip: choose a room with a sea view

having lived in spain in for 5 years in mazarron, we needed a night away, so went to the hotel neptuno, had a very nice warm welcome by a young guy on reception who let us use underground private parking for nothing, parking is very difficult at this hotel so best to book underground parking esp at peak times.
hotel is exceptionally clean and nice decor,
had fab views over the mar menor, but, asking for a room with a sea view means you have a noisy road in front.nearby is the most fantastic pizzeria, would advise booking a table as this place has queues forpeople waiting for tables.hotel is a great location and would definitley stay again..just one thing i would have like in the room, a kettle.!!! love my morning coffee on the terrace.overall great place and had great stay at this hotel.

We stopped for a Saturday night, half board. The room is very dated & the bathroom too, the bath had been painted inside & we had to ask for a plug.

Dinner was served at 8.30pm onwards. We felt totally rushed; as soon as we finished our 1st course the plate was taken away & the next course brought, the waiter then stood behind my husband waiting for him to finish. Strange as the restaurant was empty apart from us! The meal was nice but not very substantial, I had fish in sauce as a main & that is all it was......... no veg or potatoes, just a small fillet in tomato sauce followed by a tiny desert.

The night was very noisy as the walls are thin & the Spanish loud, even though they were mostly OAP's they stop up late & talk loud. Our sea view room was above a busy road & the traffic was loud even through the double glazed door, also the usual noise of people leaving the bars & clubs nearby went on until after 3am.

At 7am on the Sunday we were woken by the road sweepers & cleaners followed by the hotel restaurant below moving tables & chairs on the terrace below our balcony. Breakfast was a continental buffet which was nice but spoilt by the coffee only being available from a vending machine & not freshly made. The fruit juices were not fresh & contained lots of sugars & artificial flavourings.

Room Tip: Maybe quieter at the back of the hotel? Don't choose a sea view room if you want a good sleep. G...

We picked the hotel because of the great location and also good reviews but we were a little disappointed. The location is just great, right by the beach with only a busy street in between. Luckily we managed to park just in front of the hotel, which was really a miracle. We arrived early but got the room after a few minutes and the receptionist was helpful and nice. But the receptionist who arrived in the afternoon and the next morning was just the opposite.

The room was small with no place to put the suitcases and the aircondition was not good enough to cool down the room during the night. We liked the wooden floor in the room, but who would put a wooden floor in a bathroom, that didn't look good at all. The room was overlooking the street and the beach, a really nice view.

The breakfast was just ok, and served at the terrace facing the street. We were a bit surprised about the guest of the hotel as they all seemed to be over 80 and some of the using walkers. We felt a bit out of place in our mid 50s. We moved to a nearby hotel the next morning and enjoyed it even more despite it was in Pagán and a bit of a walk to the beach. The area is nice with many restaurants and it's also very "local", with few foreign tourists. But if we return to the area we will not pick Neptuno.

We stayed here for a long weekend in may and thought the hotel was good. The reception staff were very helpful with bus times etc. The room itself was fine, decent bathroom, great views of sea. We only had breakfast the day of leaving which was ok, buffet style. There is plenty around the hotel, shops, bars, etc. Good value for money.

Room Tip: pay the extra for a sea view

Stayed at the Hotel Neptuno in May 2013. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the the staff were lovely and very helpful. The view from our balcony room was great. Unfortunately I was taken ill on the third day so it spoilt the holiday a bit but again the staff were very considerate. I will certainly stay there again when next in that part of Spain.
