We had a few meals in the Poniente which is a small tapas bar/restaurant and in other locally famous restaurants and we found this one the best of all of them. The only place in the area which is not stuck in the 80's and the hospitality of the owner/waiter is outstanding. It is situated in the centre of San Pedro del Pinatar on the main road from the beach to the village but if you stay near the beach in Lo Pagan it still worth the 15 min walk or the short taxi ride to experience the authentic spanish tapas as it's best. They do have a menu but you should ask for the daily specials. We had grilled squid one night, being a chef I know how difficult it is to prepare without making it rubbery and they did it to the best standards. The speciality of the house is pork medallions in peppercorn sauce what was also cooked to perfection. If you don't know what to order just trust the choice of the owner/waiter Luis who is the most friendly and helpful front of house person I have ever seen and seems to know the customers and their taste more than they do themselves. This place is highly recommended by any standards!
