“Unfriendly staff and small room”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

the room was clean but very small and fairly old-looking. the door to the balcony was very small ( i am 167 cm and had to crouch to get out) because of being on the top floor. As solo traveler i was told to sit by the kitchen on the small tables, even when there was noone else in the restaurant- with a sour face and an attitude. On several occations they failed to give me messages left for me. internet ok, but unstable

a party of us travelled to lestatit and stayed at the hotel nereida. the 2 good looking senoritas at the reseption desk were kind and very helpful as were the rest of the staff. the rooms were spacious clean and very comfortable.the food was very good (I recommend the various salads). I have stayed in 4 star hotels in London and the nereida was far better.the. whole feel of the hotel and lestatit was very pleasant indeed. good beer in the fighting cock and omalleys. I would recommend the hotel to anyone, and if we return we will be booking in to the nereida again.

Room Tip: I only visited one room but I will add I wish they would change the operation to enter the rooms (qu...

This is a 3 star hotel and we were very pleased with our room. We booked a superior room which overlooked the pool at the back of the hotel. We had read reviews about rooms at the front of the hotel experiencing road noise so asked for a room high up and at the back of the hotel. We booked half board and were very pleased with both the breakfast and dinner (buffet style). All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the bar prices were reasonable.

We would definitely stay at this hotel again if we revisit L'estartit.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back of the hotel and higher up.

The location of the hotel is excellent. There is a supermarket right next to the hotel. Very close to the beach (about 500m). Not far away from the center.
Ladies at the reception were very kind and helpful.
Room was small (on the 4th floor), but it was ok. The view from the balcony was great! It was so cool to sit at the balcony, enjoy the view and drink Spanish vine...
In general, i can't say anything negative about this hotel. Everything was good

Agree with many of the other reviews about this hotel. It is a family run business and very welcoming and helpful staff who also have good English.
The only downside for us wasw that is is on a very busy roundabout and as we had a room at the front of the hotel it was very noisy until the early hours each night. We stayed for two nights as we were meeting up with family members who work in a nearby town for the summer and the location was good and the value was great. We had the half-board option and as it was a bit quiet on our first night we were offered their standard 3-course evening meal for our dinner. We were very happy with the food.
Overall it was excellent value for a clean 2/3 star hotel but simply because of location and noise we would not return

Stayed here B&B from 9th-16th June 2012.

It is a familily run hotel you get the feeling they make an extra effort to make you comfortable as possible and this shows through the manager/owner on reception (who speaks good English). Staff were very friendly and helpfull to us as well.

Breakfast was ok but is more for Spanish and French tastes rather than English, that didn't bother me though as I usually only eat cereal or toast.

Rooms are what I expect from 3 star Spain and are value for money.

Pool area was nice and quiet and always sunbeds free. There is also a bar area by the pool too.

Nice restaurant and bar at front of hotel. Not much in the way of entertainment but I was happy to watch the football and listen to music while I had a drink there. Beer is 3 euro for a large one and a glass of dry white wine was 1.7 euro a glass so pretty good prices.

There is an English bar called Toni's run by a Geordie lady called Chrissy 30 secs walk from the hotel that does English breakfast for 5e (small) and 6.5e (large) and I had that one day which was very nice. They also do bottled beer at 1 euro a bottle which is very good.
There is also another English bar called the Fighting Cocks which is also 30 secs walk from the hotel.

Supermarket across the road which was very cheap. Bottle of white wine for 1.5e.

Lots of nice restaurants to choose from in the area which we tried out, indian, chinese, mexican, ect.

Worth a stay here if you are coming to Estartit but I would stay B&B rather than half or full board as there are so many nice places to eat.

Room Tip: We stayed on 2nd floor on the road side of the hotel and didn't have a problem with noise. You...
