Perfect and clean hotel with perfect parking facilities. Big and quiet rooms with nice view over the pool. The service is very good and the restaurant in the hotel offers fantastic lunch and evening diner varieties. Every day new dishes on the menu! Breakfast is wonderful, you can also have it by the pool on the terrace. Only negative point, breakfast is only possible till 10.20 (yes 10.20h!) and after that you can also go to the beach which is less than 500 metres from the hotel. However, if you don't want to leave the hotel, you can spend the day by the pool, with all facilities. Top location.

A very much last minute booking as a surprise for our daughter and 2 grandchildren for the last week in August. In previous years we have stayed in villas in the Costa Brava region but for just 5 nights this was not a practical proposition. We were lucky to get a 3 bedroom villa. at Clipper.

Immediate impressions were very good. Reception is at the adjacent hotel, quick and efficient. Our villa had undercover parking for one car, plus drive parking for a second.

On entry everything looked immaculately clean. On the ground floor a small kitchenette lounge, bathroom and bedroom, with a sliding French window to a private small terrace garden, this leads to the hotel and garden pool area. Upstairs, two more bedrooms and bathroom. Aircon both upstairs and downstairs.

The complex was very quiet, but with few hotel bedrooms I cannot see it getting crowded in the high season, plenty of sun loungers around the decent size pool, 20 meters long?. The grounds are well shaded by Oleander bushes and Palm trees.

As well as the indoor restaurant meals are served on the adjacent terrace together with bar snacks, breakfast quality was extremely good, as indeed the one dinner when we ate in.

The sandy beach is a 5 minute walk with only a very short distance between the dunes and sea.

2 Supermarkets within a 10 minute drive plus local restaurants

Suffice to say we are looking to return for a proper stay next year

I want to be very fair about this hotel .
1 week in villa , August 2018 , family of 4 , kids 3 and 7 .
You have to know before visiting that this hotel is part of the neighboring Delfin verde , which has its pros and cons .
Pros
- reception very nice ladies , fast helpful and very friendly
- breakfast was ok , a bit repetitive though
-small and quiet , 2 pools , nice families with small children and few couples
- best part , you can use the Delfin verde by just showing your card , and they have a lot to offer ( animation ,LOTS OF SPORTS ,evening shows , huge pools with water slides , restaurants , bike hire etc . Although all with the quality of a camping site .
Would say we enjoyed without any issues .
-be prepared for lots and I mean lots of kids , different ages , we had no problem with that
-beach is close and nice , bit rough waters , but beware no umbrellas .
We had to buy our own and fight the winds :)
- the camping caters to mainly Dutch visitors , nice people but expect no contact from parents or kids , they only communicate between each other . Our child tried to play with some but was not welcome when they heard English language ( we are not British ) .

Cons
-surprise , the villas have no cleaning service , meaning that for7 days was not cleaned
You still have a mop and a broom if you like to clean during your vacation :)
- biggest surprise , no towel changing for 7 days and no beach towels
Now this we could not take , so I asked at reception , and the lady told me they are changed every 3-4 days
Well did I not happen until the end of our stay ..
-food in restaurant for dinner : failed gourmet trial , tried for 3 nights and quality and quantity / price ratio was a fail .
Moved to another restaurant rest of the stay , what a place , will rate it in another of my reviews .
-the villas a bit dates
-pool was dirty end of day

So if you want a quiet vacation in a mid range hotel , but close to all the action and fun in the camping site , this is your place .
Would have rated 4 stars if not the towels ..

Second time for another 14 night in a villa, and third visit to the site - El Delfin Verde.

Staying in the hotel villa you have access to the hotel swimming pool at the end of your private villa garden, heated in door pool, Jacuzzi and gym and access to the main El Delfin Verde facilities, and the beach is about 400 yds away.

The villa is air conditioned, but is starting to show its age and probably could do with refurbishment in the next 12 months - in the heat of circa 35 degrees on a couple of days the upstairs air con failed (pls note I did not report this to the hotel - so I really cannot complain as they might have been able to fix it)

Issues - Laundry - clean laundry was not supplied for the second week and I had to go and ask for it - top marks to the lady behind reception would said we'd get it within the hour - sure enough clean pressed laundry was delivered to our door within the hour .

I stayed here with my study abroad group for a couple nights, and the hotel was very accommodating. It is nice and clean, the restaurant is nice, and they clean rooms and make beds daily. The hotel is right next to the beach, and the pool at the hotel is nice; however, there is not much else around this area. If you want a really good restaurant you'll probably need to travel to another little town at least 8 miles away. One con is the WiFi internet connection is extremely weak... good all-around experience though.
