“good budget hotel”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2013

Been there in my trip for Aneto, the highest peak in the Pyrenees. Stayed there 1 night before going for Renclusa refuge. The hotel is clean, decent, with a good ration quality/price. Is just on the entrance in Benasque. Style is eclectic. Nice sleep and recommendable.

The San Anton is a very basic and funky small hotel with a very friendly and accommodating staff.
The hotel itself has a very nice exterior with a very basic interior. Rooms are moderate , lacking amenities of a 3* property. The staff makes up for the deficiencies.

Room Tip: request a room looking to the East to have sunlight

The first time I have been in this Hotel was seven years ago. I stayed there in a very small room since them I don’t know if they have done any modifications in the hotel rooms, but this summer, as I decide to go climb with my girlfriend the Monte Aneto. San Anton became a very nice choice because as I remembered they still have a friendly front desk also a wonderful breakfast with different kinds of bread, jam, butter, “jamon”, and fruit juice. The restaurant is good and not very expensive.
The room this time huge, an attic - a "buhardilla", excellent for two couples or to be with children was decorated with simplicity and functional.
The hotel in itself is over decorated, but that can also be an advantage you can spend hours discovering different pieces and entertain yourself but that only happens in common areas.
I consider this hotel at entrance village very good value money.. It’s a very good starting point to explore the valley.

Room Tip: Ask for a large room or : "Una habitacion buhardilla"
