We've been to this hotel several times in previous years and this was our second visit this year. As always the staff are outstanding and most will go out of their way to assist in any way they can. The restaurant which used to be superb is not any more. The food was quite repetative and sometimes the food was not as hot as it should have been. One morning for breakfast the food was not warm and the hotplates which should keep the food hot were stone cold. WE complained to the restaurant staff who didn't appear to do anything about it. We then complained to reception who noted our complaint but said no one else had complained however several people taking coffee with us also said they had complained and were met with a similar response. The lazy river is in need of urgent attention - tiles were missing which could have caused injury and the sides were discoloured and required a good clean. Perhaps I'm being fussy but this is classed as a 5 star hotel but the standards aren't as good as they were. Will we visit again - not sure unless things don't improve.

while like most people on these reviews i cannot fault the hotel ammenites rooms pool area cleanleness of hotel staff very pleasent.
would we go back again no.
reason my wife is gluton free so she has a wheat allergy i emailed the hotel before we went to make sure there would be no problems with food i was assured that the hotel could accomadate well that isnt what happened from the first day that my wife asked for some gluton free bread for toast there were some blank looks eventualy when i had finished my breakfast there was some toast put on the table in front of her that was the way breakfast went nearly every day there were poached eggs fryed eggs tomatoes.

evening meal first night nothing marked up as to which conntained wheat if any so was pot luck after we spoke to restaurarnt manager they attempted to label things as to what foods cotained gluton in all honesty they had no idea we even went out 4 nights to eat
on the last night the hotel manager was on the desk asked for roll for wife and finished up with restaurant manager walking around showing wife what was gluton free.
in all not impressed with the knowledge of staff to cope with gluton free i think this is somthing the hotel has to look at i will say not all of the staff were the same but then the staff werent on every day overall hotel very good food notification a little to be learnt

Amazing, amazing, amazing staff!
Everything was above our expectations!
The truth is, e were supposed to go to Portugal but due to Thomas Cook bankrupcy, we booked this hotel as a "second choice", but this is definitely a first choice!!!
Spotless clean, nice pools, great food!
The breakfast buffet has the largest variety of "viennoiseries" I've ever seen!
We stay 15 days and we had a fantastic stay!
