My wife, and myself stayed for two weeks in June 2012, this was our first holiday with our one year old son. We weren't disappointed ideal for our needs, apartment was ground floor near to childrens play area and rear secure gate that leads on to pool area. The complex is close to a local supermarket that's stocks anything you will need for your stay, also plenty of bars and restaurants very close. The beach is a five minutes walk away, and the promenade is flat and easy for those with wheel chairs or prams and goes on for miles.
The apartment is on two floors the two bedroom are large doubles with one having a pool facing balcony, downstairs the large lounge/diner leads on to a very large sun terrace. Also large kitchen with breakfast bar area, downstairs toilet and utility room. Apartment has English tv and modern furnishings.
Ideal for those that want a family holiday or break with friends, we can't wait to visit again...
We rented this from the owner for the month of July - I travelled initially on my own with my 3 girls aged 12, 11 and 9. On walking in I immediately felt it was a home away from home - every conceivable kitchen implement and home comfort is there to include sky tv, books to read, games for the children. The location of haciendas is second to none there is a giant supermarket next door and we shopped daily for the freshest fish and veg at just unbelievable prices. Walk a little further and you are on the strip that leads to the beach passing tons of restaurants and little shops that my kids loved poking around. The owner had left a great directory of top tips with regard to which restaurant for which time, day, etc. In the complex there is a great coffee shop with free wifi access it was great for the preteens to catch up with their friends online. The pool in the complex is huge and very well maintained and people with younger children there is a very attentive life guard. The local Spanish people used the pool at very different times to ourselves so it never felt crowded. There are also tennis courts in the complex that my children got a kick out of. The local bus system in Roquetes is very easy to manage as they go and down a straight line, we took the bus to the ginormous shopping mall stocked with all the top brands and food courts - second bus trip was to the water park which the kids had a ball at dragged them home at sunset. For me Roquetas and this town house in the Hacienda de mar is the perfect location all you had to do each day was wake up and decide whether it was a beach day or pool day .... Bliss :)
