This restaurant has a wonderful site - with great views over the crashing rocks and seaspray at Porto Moniz. The restaurant staff were pleasant. However, the food was rather disappointing. The sirloin steak was more like rump steak than sirloin. We were not asked how we wanted the beef cooked and it was far too rare for us and had to be returned to the kitchen. Having been assured that the fish was fresh one of our group ordered the parrot fish. But it was not fresh! The helpings were generous but the vegetables were overcooked. We wanted puddings but the service was so slow that we gave up in the end. This restaurant is not accessible for those in wheelchairs - with several steps down. It is unlikely that we will return here - what a shame.
