“Not spectacular, but nice enough place...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2013

It's not the Ritz, or some flashy boutique hotel, but if you're in the area for any reason ( most likely the fabulous food) then this hotel may suit your needs.
It's slightly dated in decor (I suppose it has been here since the 1940s....), but clean and functional. The rooms were comfortable and clean, though a little attention to the decor and accessories would not go astray ( table lamps, wall art etc...)
It's a calm place, with pleasant, unstuffy staff.

i travel quite a bit for work and this is one place i'm happy to come back to.
calm and quiet hotel; even when full, there is more than enough space, so it doesn't feel so.
inside there are furnishings and objects gathered since the hotel's opening, in a hidden corner a photo of the current owner as a child.
the food is very nice, whether one wants to fall asleep happily stuffed right after dinner, or prefers a lighter fare. for breakfast, there is fresh orange juice and proper coffee.
there is a garden to have dinner or do some work in; dramatically illuminated castle wall (visible from some of the rooms), main piazza with a pharmacy, bank and cafes - all within a 2-minute walk.
the best thing about this place is the family that runs it; kind and attentive, they do their work with pride.
on one of my trips i had the flu, they regularly checked up on me and asked if i need a doctor, had the whole breakfast selection brought to my room, a special hearty soup made for dinner, and lit the fireplace in the dining room for more warmth.
they have also mailed a skirt i forgot at the hotel on a different trip, at their own expense.
the internet is slow, in some rooms better then in others, best downstairs near reception; that being said, i have yet to find a place with proper internet in the area.

Room Tip: ask for a room overlooking the inner yard/garden

Probably the best in the area. Beautiful, posh but homely interior, and a lovely garden.
The rooms are large, clean and comfortable, family staff really helpful and friendly.
The restaurant has a great cuisine, both for breakfast and dinner, and an excellent offer of wines.
There is a beautiful area by the reception that has the cozy smell of fireplace, makes you feel like at your aunt's.
The only concern is a poor internet connection but staff is always willing to help and gives extra codes.

Looking forward to my return there!

Room Tip: i loved the room number 135

Fantastic family-run hotel with historic flair in a beautiful village with an ancient "castello", that is illuminated at night. The service is extremely kind and typical Italian, they very attentive towards their guests individual needs. Due to bad weather conditions we prolonged our business trip and stayed three nights at Aldomoro, having an excellent dinner each evening. The quality of the products was fantastic and the style of the kitchen traditional yet modern and not too heavy.
The rooms are spacious and quiet with all mod-cons needed. Internet could be faster though.
Breakfast is basic Italian style, though always good with warm bread rolls and freshly chopped fruit salad.

Room Tip: The rooms in the back part of the hotel on the second floor are quiet and spacious, those in the fro...

It is my 3rd stay at this hotel. First time was in the mid nineties. Very pleasant people, wonderful town an excellent food and wine at the resaturant of the hotel. Prices are very, very reasonable and the service top level. ( my family went there many years back when my son forgot his watch at the room. They posted it to us on their own initiative and expensive !!!

The welcome from the staff was the setting for a wonderful extended weekend at this hotel in the center of the city, within the walls, a few steps from the main Piazza. The restaurant is the best in Montagnana! The father and one daughter run the hotel. The mother and son run the restaurant and the other daughter runs the kitchen. If you have the chance to visit Managnana you will be charmed by the family and the hotel and filled with wonderful food from the restaurant.
