Rooms clean and tidy, but too cold during the winter nights. May be a good place to stay during the summer. There is just one socket in each room, and it was supposed to feed the heater, so...
Not exactly a good location if, because it's not very close to any stores and to the city. But you can take buses in front of it.

It was summer of 2013,I had gone to attend a conference in Germany from India where I ganged up with two girl participants and decided to explore Europe since it was our golden opportunity.Venice was the top on our list and since my friend from Italy agreed to come down to Venice and do all the booking and stuff we were bit relaxed. She told about this camping site and how it was a cool and cheap place to stay.We gave her a green signal to book two huts which will have to be shared by two. With all the doubts about the place we will have to stay we reached venice and met my friend who surprisingly took us to a bus stand near grand canal. We imagined only water and ferries in Venice and bus and road came as a surprise. So we boarded the bus and the view to the camping site was gorgeous. We got out at the camping rialto gate, took the room keys from the friendly women at the counter,it was ten euro's per night, per head which was easy on out pocket. We met the care taker of the camp who is a very sweet and friendly person and when we said we are from India,he started singing sharukh khan songs as he was a big fan of the star.So next every time we met him we use to sing hindi songs,he is the star of the camp and the perfect host. The huts are perfect and beautiful,it gives you the feeling that you are peacefully meditating in a mountain valley.Though the bathrooms and washrooms are but far but its a great experience to walk a few kilometre just to pee or take a bath.If you are lucky you can also get a hut near the wash-rooms.Although you wont get a full meal in the restaurant but you will get a good breakfast, after that you can take ticket for bus to venice from the counter of the camp.It is best to take in advance the ticket for the number of days you are staying to move from camp to main venice. Also, tickets for ferries to Islands like Burano and Murano can be booked in advance from the camp office. The big van homes in the camps will give you a feeling of a perfect camp.We were there in April month so the rooms where not so cold but even in winter months they provide heating but it will be good if you carry an extra blanket with you.But they provide you with extra blankets too if its available.Over all I guess it is the best place to stay if you have a low budget and at the same time want to spend more on travelling to the islands and save bit for shopping.I have told all my friends about this camping site and if I go again for my honeymoon after i get married to venice i will definitely go for camping rialto andgo shopping for the money i save from it....GO VENICE,GO TO CAMPING RIALTO AND SAVE SOME EUROS,CHEERS AND HAPPY TRAVELLING...!!

Room Tip: The washrooms and bathrooms are bit far from the huts as the huts are scattered all around the site...

We were in Venice during the annual "Carnevale" at the end of February. Since we were travelling on a tight budget, and all other places on the main island of Venice were booked out, we chose this campsite. It was only 13 EUR a night per person, and it was connected well to the main center in Venice by a bus service (takes about 15 mins, EUR 2.60 return fare).
The experience was pretty good, apart from the fact that it gets ridiculously cold at night in winter as the wooden huts in the middle of a field. They do have a small heater in each hut, but its not sufficient.

I liked..very cheap, and nice, nothing fancy...toilets and showers good, clean and plenty of hot water. The cabin was small but more than enough. The only bad thing I found was the mattress, very thin and obviously very old. Apart from that, it was a good place to stay considering the price and location (there is a bus that goes into Venice island). I recommend you to check in advance if there is any STRIKE on bus service. Bad luck for us on our last day and we had to pay about 50 euros for a taxi to comeback. We tried to walk but its not safe to cross the bridge at night. Also, get as much food from the Lidl (that its just in front of the camping), the food in the island not only is VERY expensive its baad, so this is a plus for the hotel. I would definetelly recommend it. Close to the airport in bus (10min) and the island (10 min).

Room Tip: Ask for a cabin if you don´t feel like to stay in a tent...and take mosquito repellent if you are go...

We actually thought we would be staying in a room. For some reason we did not realize some of the rooms were tents, so we were disappointed that we were in a tent and not one of the little cabins. It was an extremely nice camping ground. The staff was amazing! They were really friendly! They let us use their phone and also let us print something off! It was a really nice stay and you could take the bus right to shopping areas, places to eat and where a lot of the gondolas were. The bathrooms and showers were set up like if you were at a campground but everything was really nice. There was an area you could sit and eat and they also offered wifi. It did cost but I cannot remember how much it was. It's very convenient if you had to use it to find where you were traveling next. Overall it was a really nice place to stay! Two thumbs up!

Room Tip: If you do not like tents make sure you get cabin but if you do not mind! Then it doesn't matter...

This is such a convenient place to stay. It's almost exactly half way between Marco Polo Airport and the main island of Venice.

There is a bus stop right across the road that will take you into the heart of the island. The buses use RFID-enabled cards which you purchase before boarding at a ticket office (the Camping Rialto office sells them too), and swipe upon entering the bus (as opposed to paying the driver). I'm not suggesting any illegal activity, but the bus was so crowded when I boarded that I couldn't reach the swipe machine. Ever. It's almost as if buying the ticket wasn't necessary...

As for our tent, all was good. We didn't notice any bugs (surprisingly), but don't expect a complete bug-free zone - this is an outdoor situation, after all.

I stayed here in late August with my wife and we camped with our own tent. We arrived after a very long flight and was able to take a bus straight from the airport. We passed by the campground and missed the stop the first time and had to loop back around. The sign is very easy to see from the road. The check-in process was very easy and the girl working the front office was very nice and helpful. She gave me advice on the best way to reach my next destination. The restaurant had good espresso, breakfast, and pizza and the staff were great. In the evening, the place was very lively with an international crowd. You can buy bus tickets ahead of time at the front desk which was convenient. The bathrooms and showers were clean, but be sure to bring your own toiletries as there is no TP or soap in there. Staff made sure that campers quieted down late at night (the common area has a closing time) and we didn't have any problem sleeping.

Room Tip: Bring toiletries when you go to the bathroom, as there is no soap or toilet paper.
